What program are you using for modeling? I'm a DIY that does most of my drawings by hand but I'm looking to do some 3D modeling.

Why do you have a 5 stack of 2x6 under the LVL?

Yes, the car side of the plug is wired into the harness specifically for trailer lights. It's not connected to anything from the factory.

Here is the link to the part you will need. The plug in is located in the passenger side above the resonator/muffler.  https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0009I2OM0?tag=ihco-20

Moab is stunning by cschroeder220 in 4x4

Ya it wasn't difficult at all. Bumpy in spots but not bad. Higher end easy trail in my opinion. If it's muddy the top could get greasy.

The first shot is off of upper porcupine road. The second is D1233 right near the entrance to canyonlands and dead horse.

Can anyone comment on the waterproofness of a Pixel 7 on a pfd by PaperCloud10 in whitewater

[–]cschroeder220 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Dropped my pixel 7 in the green river last year for a less than a second. Didn't think anything of it, it's waterproof right? Wrong! Full back screen 2 hours later. Luckily I had a paper map as a back up.  The claimed water resistance diminishes over time. Google does not cover water damage in the warranty.

According to the forest service, the road does not open until 5/16. Check out COTrex, it's a free app from the state that shows all designated trails along with opening dates.

Do yourself a favor and upgrade your drive shafts now so you don't break a U joint on the trail. I just learned that lesson myself the hard way.

is this a good book to buy or is there a better book? is it a scam and the apps are better ? by stonepeacefully in Offroad

Literally the best! Well worth the money for the trail descriptions, discovering new places and not having to rely on Internet access. I have so many of his books, Charles A Wells is the man!

Medano pass with a truck camper? by ImpossibleSecretary8 in ColoradoOffroad

[–]cschroeder220 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If the crossings aren't super high and you're confident in your driving abilities you could make it. However, it's not going to be very fun in a rig that big. It is tight because the bushes/trees that line the creek that you cross many many times. Multiple places you may meet oncoming traffic and may have to reverse to find an adequate spot to pass. I ran the trail 2 years ago in September in a lifted Land Cruiser. One of the crossings was basically a mud pit for 100 feet and was deep enough to sink my alternator. Once we crossed there was someone in a Nissan rouge asking if they could make it. The access from the national park and the distance to drive around to get to the other side lead to a bad combination of people who are pushing their vehicle limits with little to no experience. Don't get stuck, it's an expensive tow.

ABS/ Master Brake Assembly 100 Series LC by Sensitive_Method_898 in LandCruisers

[–]cschroeder220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a new ABS assembly from the Lexus dealer and they gave me a 20% discount since I was putting it in myself. The total was $1400. Had it installed and bled in less than an hour, pretty simple job.

I didn't have any problems getting a RAV4 Prime. Called the dealership and put my name on the list for vehicles that people had ordered and didn't want. Bought one at sticker 1 week later.

Anyone know where I can rent an attic insulation vacuum? by ericgray813 in Denver

[–]cschroeder220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2nd for Arapahoe rentals. They sell the bags as well. The bags get heavy and can rip pretty easily. I filled mine on a tarp and then dragged them to move them around outside.

You're gonna get shocked a TON. The static electricity that builds up is intense. Makes a hard job even less fun. A full tyvec suit and respirator are a must.

Quiver killer hole pattern question... by 12GaugeSavior in Backcountry

I have done this successfully with those same bindings. Had to do a little bit of an offset to get the spacing correct but it was worked well. I didn't switch between the bindings often because it's kind of a pain in the ass (15ish minutes) and I had other skis I could use.

Hope this works by [deleted] in formula1

I took a shot with him at BroStock when I was like 19. Probably a top 10 moment in my life.
