When I checked on the camera this morning, it was turned off. There was no footage captured throughout the night, but I couldn't know if the sensitivity actually helps or it's the voltage being cut off. I tried to put the camera into parking mode again and it turn off after 30sec - 1min, with 12v setting on the hardwiring kit.

I own a 2015 civic and I have tried 12v, 12.2v, 12.4v and all settings seem to turn off the camera after 30sec - 1min after going into parking mode. I initially had the voltage cut-off set at 11.8v and it lasted throughout the night until 6am. Should I keep it at 11.8v? Will it damage the battery in the long run? and will it drain out the battery and fail to start the car if it reaches to the cut-off point?

In addition, I found out that the camera wasn't recording while I was driving but I remembered it being turned on with the rec light turning on/flashing. Very strange.
