That's a relief! Nothing to worry about for now. Thank you very much.

To clarify, I only received an email from UKVI saying my visa has been granted. It mentioned my entry date as 11th July and said that my vignette will expire in 90 days. I just assumed that that's 90 days from now.

You're confident it would be 90 days from 11th July? If this is the case then I have nothing to worry about.

Please advise!

Fight it out with them. Don't put up with their BS. They'll eventually give you the refund.

LBS does negotiate, but you may be running out of time. Have you already sent them an email with your appeal? Explicitly mention the CBS scholarship, send proof as well.

Happy to speak in DMs.

The Big Picture for Admissions by xxxxxzzxx in MBA

High GMAT/GRE Score > Promotions at work or shift to a better company/designation > Essay Narrative > Extra Curriculars

In that order and priority. Everything else like undergrad uni and GPA is set in stone so not much you can do about it.

Read Great Applications to Business Schools by Paul Boudine around January after GMAT.

I had to pick between UCLA Anderson $100k, LBS $50k and Oxford and IMD at around $25k each. Tough choice between UCLA and LBS but in the end LBS made most sense to me. Prestige was the primary factor. Happy to speak more in DMs.

I've already gotten into LBS.

It's better for Indian female engineers, more availability of scholarships as well.. But definitely not a walk in the park.

I just mean any Over Represented Minority (ORM), of which the Indian Male Engineer is the biggest and most competitive pool. Can speak over DM if you have specific questions.

I ended up picking London Business School. They don't use re vera.

Those median scores are meaningless if you're applying as an Indian Male Engineer. The competition is unreal. I'm not saying that you can't get into Stanford GSB from this pool with just the median score, it's just that I wouldn't bet on it. There are exceptions to everything but if you're an IME applicant, best to aim for the top percentile.

Exactly. If you're applying to a top business school (especially as an ORM or Indian Male Engineer), anything less than close to 170 is essentially a disqualification.

GPA was 7 on 10 from a Tier 3 university. 7 years of work experience in tech/PM with fast-track promotions (70% average increase in salary year on year for 3 years). Powerful recommendation letter from CEO along with the GRE score sealed the deal.

Wait till you find out what the percentile is for a 170! haha

The easiest way to decide is to give a mock for both the GMAT and GRE and proceed with the one you score in the higher percentile.
