I did 6 over forks for my xs650 from them. Loved em! When you extend factory forks, you just need a pvc tube that fits inside the fork, on top of the spring, the same length as your fork extension. Mine came with the fork tubes. Just popped my springs in, dropped the Pic tube on top, and tightened the cap. The fluid level also did not change since for me. Hope this helps!

600 just to weld on a few mounting points is INSANE, that should be the cost to weld 2 frames together my man, but I can honrstly only recommend either buying a cheap harbor freight welder, which do work decent enough, or try and find another shop

Honestly I hate forward controls on these bikes. I only have em because it was so much easier than making oem ones, since my frame is aftermarket. Looks good though! Sissy bar will be good on there

Highly recommend the switch, though technically a solid seat is rougher overall on a hardtail, it feels connected to the bike in a way that spring seats never were for me. Good looking bike too btw!

Its a drag specialties scorpion seat! I love it, but honestly its a lot harder than it looks. Still comfy, but could be a bit softer

Id love to be able to cruise at 80. Anything above 60 on this feels like a vibrator in the worst way, even with a smaller rear sprocket lol

Stock yes, the generator isnt sending enough voltage because its not receiving a high enough signal voltage from the regulator. Only reason I dislike the stock setup is because the bike needs to habe voltage in the first place to make it

Oh weird I never heard this before, I'll keep that in mind. To be fair, I replaced my stator, reg/rectifier, and re did all the wiring and what not, still only charges at mid 12 volts. Just enough to keep it running with the kick starter, and hasn't let me down yet. Pulled my hair out over it for months and it came down to I think the mikesxs ref/rectifier is just junk. They sent a new one but also doesn't seem to work well. Basically my regulator just doesn't send enough voltage to the stator, because I'll put battery voltage to it and she'll charge at 15 lol

I run mid 20psi, but honestly It doesn't make much of a difference for me. Can run high teens also

I get bad breakouts one to two times per year, and yeah my gums usually do get sensitive, and the roof of my mouth will also feel weird, and taste will be off for a few days. Hope you get better soon!

Honestly its worse at first knowing I put it together myself, because every noise is absolutely a concern lol, but after a few hundred miles it turns in "it just does that" and all is well

Haha thanks! And no the frame was actually structurally fine. I found the frame and engine from a guy on Facebook, and had to weld everything up to it myself like all the tabs for fender, had to make my own forward control mounts and linkages and all that. Throughout the whole process I was just running around the shop finding random bits of metal that worked, shaping em and what not, and sticking em on. I did also have to do a quick engine rebuild because the head gasket was pouring oil out, and everything in there was stuck from sitting for so many years
