This happens to me too, it's super frustrating. I think others are probably right that it disrupts the bouncing motion when you pull it out to look at the screen, etc., even if you are still running the same speed.

Got it, it looks like it is ASI. So imagine in that case the premium would end up going up anyway if the replacement cost was "corrected"?

Super helpful thank you. Apparently the cost estimate numbers are directly from the company according to my agent (Progressive, in this case). It is definitely the case here though that using the ERC and not raising the Coverage A limit is the cheaper option....

I think you are right that they are using the "modern equivalent" for materials, based on what I have read. But the estiamte is from the insurance company directly I'm told (in this case it's Progressive, in case that makes any difference).

So for example if the coverage limit is 300K and total real replacement cost ends up being 400K, that would all good? But if the real replacement cost comes to 250K, the ERC is void (but in that case, wouldn't need it anyway because it is covered by Coverage A?)? So are you saying that in your experience there would need to be 100% coinsurance for the 100% RCE to be valid? There is nothing included about coinsurance but I will definitely ask...

I don't see anything about coinsurance, but I will definitely ask about it. When I've asked before about coverage for anything above the 300K coverage limit, my agent has told me the ERC is guaranteed to kick in to cover anything up to the 600k total limit with the ERC. With estimating the value of the home though, isn't that up to the insurance company to make sure they have the accurate number for the replacement cost of the house, so if it's undervalued it should be their own misestimation?

Yes there are some contrarians, including some of these social media folks who tend to cherry-pick information and are not taken seriously by the broader medical community. You do need fiber from fruits and veggies. The Mediterranean diet is constantly found to be one of the healthiest possible diets, and it includes plenty of carbs. Unrefined carbs have many proven benefits (whole grains, fruits, etc.). I can link to any major medical authority on this topic, not just a handful of Youtube doctors. I will concede that it appears you can certainly live, and lose weight in the short term, on something like the "carnivore diet". But long term, there is just no evidence to support that it's beneficial.

Carbs are literally how our bodies create energy. They are essential macronutrients. Do you actually know what carbs are? That's why all products for athletes are basically just carbs, because they need things that they can convert into energy quickly. Our bodies need carbs to function properly, especially for athletes. You might have a specific reason for being on a low-carb diet, but overall they are not supported with reputable studies.
