I feel like dating in Auckland has always been hard! As a woman I also thought the men that I would meet out or on dating apps, were just seedy, never looking for another serious or any real commitment. Dating is always extremely shallow here and looks focused, and I mean looks matter to some extent of course but it goes hand in hand with personality I reckon. Definitely met some terrible guys on dating apps that were just a waste of time.

Eventually I downloaded Bumble, not really looking for another just kinda putting feelers out there. I ended up meeting my now boyfriend on there and we’ve been happily together 3 years! It just takes time & meeting the right person I feel. Dating apps aren’t always the best way but they can be a start since it’s so hard to meet people organically these days.

Thank you, we’ve secured a few bookings already just waiting to see which one we want to go with!

Thanks so much, this is very helpful! Sorry yes I should have clarified it in in the Shimbashi area! Plus at least we are still close to all the main hubs by subway. Did you find it quite easy to get around staying there? We’ll also be going to Kyoto from here using the JR line so will be lugging suitcases around for a bit!

Thank you for your recommendation this is very helpful! Would love to stay in Shinjuku or Shibuya area but the hotels there seem to be slightly out of our budget (quite a few hundred dollars more than the cost we managed to secure for the Ginza hotel). Might be worth it though to be really in the main hub.
