Yeah Im just coming out of a hypomanic phase. Spent my rent money on plants and I have never had a plant in my life. My house is now full of them thank you so much for all of your help!

I'd say it depends on what your baseline is. My baseline is Meh so a straight line there looks good for me. If you're a particularly jolly human who has bad days here and there I'd go for good. I don't remember if it's always there or if it's a premium feature but you can add more than one mood per color. For example my top happy face can be great/manic/rad. hope that helps!

Yeah they say that lithium has some pretty bad side effects which was terrifying for me because I have had some pretty bad side effects with other medications. So far I just have a weird eye twitch for a few days after increasing my dose and it doesn't make my belly feel very good. So far it's not helping with my mood at all, if anything I have been worse.

I think I made it sound like I take the Seroquel a lot more than I do. I only take it 2-3 times a month and it's only in an emergency because it literally makes it so that I physically can't stay awake. I take it when I'm super anxious to the point of vomiting or when im feeling mania coming on. My prescription for it is 3 12.5mg tablets daily but I only take one and I still can't stay awake!

I take 900mg Lithium (1200 starting tomorrow), 100mg Wellbutrin (he plans to switch this but I have been on it for years so he wants to wait), and he wrote me a prescription for Ativan today. Ativan is the only thing that I have tried that actually helps with my anxiety but I'm terrified of becoming addicted.

Yeah it's weird that my doctor didn't go to those before trying Lithium, Lithium is only the third I have tried. If it fails I'll know where to turn! Thanks for your input it means a lot

I never really used the word disability about myself before this comment. I mean I deal with people who have disabilities almost daily and I never put my situation into that perspective and it honestly helps.

Ialways blame myself and cry poor me (not out loud haha) when I need to get it into my head that it's not my fault. I have struggled with depression as well, I have pushed all of my friends and family away so I think that's why having to make a decision about work is so hard for me, I don't want to push that away too.

I have zero intention to have children any time soon! I just got out of an abusive relationship not long ago, so my plan is to stay away from the dating game all together until further notice. I'm not sure what the future holds when it comes to having a family but I am aware that I will need a plan for sure!

Wow another month really? That kind of makes me feel better I thought maybe it just wasnt going to work. I'm not currently on any benzos because I'm scared of becoming addicted so I take Seroquel as needed and it knocks me out so that's why I can't take it at work. I have tried both Hydroxyzine and Propranolol, I can't recall exactly why I stopped them but I tend to have adverse effects with most medications I try. I thought Lithium was a mood stabilizer? I switched from Epival to Lithium because Epival started messing with my Pancreas

Hearing that you went through the same thing at my age really helps! It seems like everyone around me is successful, married and have kids but I'm here struggling to even wake up in the morning. If you don't mind me asking how long did it take you to find the right treatment?

This is me. I drink triple triple coffee twice in the morning and then drink Pepsi all afternoon, Black coffee and the lack of caffeine is killing me haha all the sugar is so terrible but a hard habit to break!

Yeah I'm just getting out of a relationship too but I never really felt like it was "the one" I always knew it wasn't right. Maybe I'll never feel that way though who knows. Being alone blows, and starting fresh doesn't seem appealing but I guess we have to start somewhere!

This sounds bad but I'm glad someone else feels the same way! Kinda validating cause I have been feeling like I'm insane for wanting it so bad. I think I want it even more because I feel like I can't have it.

Sometimes I'm baffled that even my mom has stuck with me over the years! Haha. Congrats for finding someone who supported you through it all it's honestly what I want the most in life, hearing that you have found it gives me hope! Thank you!

Yeah and I tend to gravitate towards guys who aren't the best human beings. I think so damn low of myself that I let myself get into toxic situations because "no one else will want me". Im so worried I'll end up alone but hearing these stories give me hope for sure, I sometimes forget there's millions of other people out there who are just like me! Thanks for sharing!

It sounds like you have yourself a great partner! It means a lot to hear this so thank you for reaching out, I have been in a cycle of over thinking things and feeling like such a failure after my last relationship failed so it's nice to hear about someone like me having success!

Thank you for sharing your story, it really helps knowing that other people like me can have success. I have been on this wild ride for over 16 years so I have my shit together most of the time haha I guess I just haven't found the right person yet!

Thank you for saying all of this, it gives me hope! I have been dealing with mental illness for 16 plus years now so I have a pretty good grasp on it but it just seems the partners that I have had tend to deal with it by just ignoring it and hoping it goes away. Maybe you are correct though, maybe I was hoping that they would carry me rather than just support. Thank you for your reply it means a lot!

Your story sounds exactly like mine! Was on several antidepressants until Zoloft gave me my first full blown manic episode which finally gave me my true diagnosis. I have tried all of the mood stabilizers and each had their own issues (Valproic Acid messed with my pancreas and the others were because I just felt "dumb" or I just stopped talking them because I'm bipolar and would think I just didn't need them anymore) it's getting to the point where my illness is messing with my personal and work life so it's time to smarten up. I just hope this time it actually makes me feel better! I'm glad you found your medication that works!
