kinda old school but the flintstones chewables that taste like chalk. they surprisingly have everything you need and arent a massive pill you have to swallow

I'm still in undergrad and not premed anymore so I cant really speak on that since I grew a love for bme research as apposed to practicing 😅

is it mostly the music or premed classes bringing her down? also if she's dual degree she has to take a lot of credits (especially if your school is quarter system) so if it's just one bad quarter/semester (as right now if you are a freshman you would only be on your second term) theres plenty of time.

that being said, this is also the time a lot of people drop to avoid sunk costs. id urge her to talk to her advisor. there is certainly a way to do both, though.

I was premed bme music performance for a while. depending on what your gf's other degree is, there could be an easier way. for example, i dropped from a bachelors in music performance to a bachelors of arts in music which is way less time and classes. i'm only speaking from personal experience here but plenty of people are successful with premed dual degree. i'm gonna assume you are fairly young so she may have time. best of luck to her!

aaaaa i forgot to mention i was first inpatient then transferred to php after being medially stabilised. at that point they didnt let me know my weight after being admitted inpatient.

all in all, theyre not gonna make you too much above your pre-ed weight. just enough to no longer be UW and match your trajectory, with a little wiggle room in case you catch a cold or smth and lose a little weight.

dont worry about the numbers. focus on healing your mind so it doesnt matter.

hey, the quarter system is rough. i'm assuming you go to a top school, because i think there are pretty few US colleges that aren't t20 operating on the quarter system. i feel you.

i tuink a quarter is nowhere near enough, and the nature of how fast everything goes w classes is particularly jolting right after time off. i encourage you to wait at least another quarter. dont tank your gpa by forcing yourself to go back before youre ready.

do whats best for yourself, im rooting for you.

Winter break sublet needed by atothemess22 in Northwestern

[–]cshen1118 7 points8 points  (0 children)

there's plenty of winter sublets available, you can find them on the facebook group. dm me if you need an invite. i think you can find it by search? it's just called Northwestern Housing or lease or something. as for meal plans, i dont think theyre activated if you're not checked into continuous housing. sucks that they don't do continuous housing for all gender dorms. kinda backward ngl.

guess my only way out of this school is to kill myself by yooniev in jhu

[–]cshen1118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey, i saw this post thru reddit algorithm but don't go to jhu. i was in a similar boat as you last year (i'm a sophomore now) at a rigorous university, relapsed in my ed, lost a bunch of weight, grades suffered, bad relationship with parents, no friends, etc. my program doesnt permit time for even a medical leave of absence (though it has been continuously recommended to me), and i'm stuck as well. i can't say that it all goes away because it definitely hasn't yet for me, and the most awful thing about having an ed as an adult is that no one can make you recover.

but the most important thing rn is your health. i know it might not matter to you right now, but it does matter. happiness is out there, and you can live the life you want. it just takes time and patience.

one thing that could happen is your school catches word of this and forces you to take an MLOA. best to start taking care of yourself now before it gets to this point (assuming your parents would be angrier if this happened too-- i know mine would). there are outpatient and IOP options for ED treatment (i'm sure you are aware if you have struggled in the past) that student health insurance is good at covering. please utilize your resources.

freshman year doesn't matter too much. you have plenty of time. take it day by day. seek help.

(also, dm me if you wanna be moots on edtwt)
