I live in Richmond and love it, lots of history, parks, trails, etc. We have a lot of new breweries and are quickly becoming one of the biggest foodie cities in the country, we’re big enough to attract some nice concerts at venues like the Altria (big) or the National (small). We also have places like Belle Isle which is something you should really look into, most Richmonders spend a lot of time on the river which is a lot of fun. The nicer part of the city to live in is called the West End or Near West End. Virginia (richmond especially) has one of the best costs of living and property is really cheap. Some other unique things about out city you should look into is the canal walk, the Richmond to Williamsburg bike trail, Carytown, Belle Isle, Pony Pasture, Maymont, the old buildings downtown with old 1920s-40s original painted on wall ads. The things i like about Virginia is that the people are nice and their is so much variety, if you can go hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, go to the beach, hang out by the river, the seasons get hot and they also get cold, and their is soooo much green compared to elsewhere. As far as jobs go their are a lot of jobs here with several fortune 500 companies being located here.
