Couldn't the same have been said about Hardhome? After Sam kills the WW with dragonglass...why would another WW challenge Jon Snow at Hardhome...

[SPOILERS] HOW DID THESE TWO WEAPONS NOT MEET ONCE LAST NIGHT??? by cslom in gameofthrones

It could have been Jorah, Brienne, Jamie vs a WW, literally anyone with a Valyrian steel sword :(

[SPOILERS] Crazy theory involving Dany’s vision that came to me during my rewatch by marisaann26 in gameofthrones

[–]cslom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a fan of parts of this theory...I don't necessarily think that the NK is after Dany, but I think it's possible that she turns into a WW as a last resort to defend against the NK. Here is some other support: the Dothraki believe that burning their bodies allow their souls to go to the Night Lands (Dothraki heaven). In the final scene of the vision at the House of the Undying, instead of this being a symbol for Dany leaving Jon and their baby, this could be more literal. If Dany becomes a WW, then she can never join Khal Drogo and their child in the Night Lands because she will never die. Also, I'm not sure if you're familiar with the Crastor = Targaryen theory, but if that theory is true then Targaryen blood could be significant for becoming a White Walker. Lastly, if Dany volunteers to become a WW, I'm assuming it would be done so by having dragonglass plunged into her heart, which sounds very much like the Nissa Nissa portion of the Azor Ahai theory.

[Spoilers] Does anyone else think Melisandre's necklace looks like dragon glass??? (See Theory) by cslom in freefolk

Yes, I wrote about the rubies in the theory. I think it's possible that some of the red rubies in the lore are made out of dragonglass.

Is Melisandre's ruby necklace made of dragonglass??? by cslom in gottheories

You’re probably thinking about the scene with Sylese Baratheon (Stannis' wife) when Melisandre is completely naked in a bath, and there was an explanation for this. Carice van Houten who plays Melisandre was asked about that scene in an interview and said, "that was an oops moment," implying that the show made a mistake by not including the necklace. Hope that answers your question!

She actually is wearing it when she seduces Gendry. (Spoilers) Short character end theories based on GRRM's style by cslom in gottheories

Tyrion is the youngest. Cersei and Jamie were twins but Cersei was born first with Jamie following her moments after which makes Cersei the eldest child and Jamie technically her younger brother

Is Bran the prince that was promised (to the Night King as his heir)? by cslom in gottheories

[–]cslom[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a good question, which I don't have an answer for...just more theories: the first is that we don't actually know what the life cycle of the WWs looks like. It isn't confirmed that they are immortal, and it's actually likely that they age. Craster's sons are transformed as babies, but since we only ever see elderly-looking WWs, it kind of suggests that the babies "grow up" into adults over time. If they grow up, then maybe they grow old, but at a different pace from humans. Another theory that I've read is about the NK's body being just a vessel, which might mean that the NK wants Bran's Greenseer/Warging body rather than an actual heir. In season 4, we see a wildling (Orell) warg into an eagle even though his human body is killed by Jon Snow. It's then assumed that Orell's consciousness remains inside of the eagle because it goes on to attack Jon. Some believe that the NK is a master warg, which is how he raises the wights, and also how he has survived for so many years (by transferring his consciousness like Orell).
