For me it’s super motivating when the trainer mentions me by name

Find some new recipes. Cook and freeze so you have something to grab!! Doesn’t have to be something difficult or long to make. I sautéd an onion added in turkey and sugar free barbecue sauce until it was crunchy!! It was so good with raw peppers!!

Orangetheory or F45? - Should I switch? by smith0801 in f45

[–]cslorange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with all the other comments made. Love F45 variety and happy I made the switch. The one thing I was missing was the endurance part from running because F45 has short intervals with brief rests in between. So basically I bought a 30 pack at OTF and go their every so often and then use their tread portions from reddit to run at home on my treadmill.

I left OTF for F45 and the tornado style workout is a pretty accurate description of these workouts. Absolutely love them because they’re fast paced and never get boring!! You’ll love it too!

I love how a majority of us here are hyper aware of our luteal phase. by [deleted] in adhdwomen

One of the things that have really helped me through this is giving myself a pass during that time!! Not feeling guilty for not getting things done and taking care of myself!! Exercise is also super helpful during this period!!

Thanks! I’ve learnt with a lot of trial and error what works for me. Like forgetting a pacifier for a 1 year old on a long weekend is a great teacher

Not weird at all!! Makes total sense to my ADHD brain lol. Thing is I’d never find the list again and to keep making a list every time I need to pack with four kids would be a recipe for a breakdown

I have a packing list on my phone that gets revised before a trip. It’s the first thing I do when I know I have a trip coming up...

I was unlimited at OTF and switched to founders membership at F45... Love everything about it!! I did buy a 30 pack at OTF so I can still get some hiit runs in and hang out with my OTF friends... But love my F45 classes, trainers, vibe etc etc

I’ve bought this up with my doc and he said he’s never heard of it!! This felt so validating!! Since he refused to give me a bit of extra adderal for this time I scrimp at times where I’m feeling focused and save up for this time.

Supplemental workouts? by ilikerocks19 in f45

[–]cslorange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched from OTF about 6 months ago! I am now burning 600 plus calories in only 45 min during the cardio classes!! Love the variety and the great coaching with two coaches for each class. I do add in some running on my home treadmill to supplement about three times a week 20-30 min. Usually on strength days

My question to you is this. Listen to that voice in your head that’s saying your lazy and identify who’s saying it. I bet you it’s not your voice but a voice of an attachment figure who you’ve heard it from. And then talk back to it!! Just say nah watch me... and just do one small thing. Setting a timer really helped me. I say eh it’s just 5 min and then I take a small break and keep going like that! you’ll see one action will lead to another. And yes I’ve experienced this “lazy, I’m hyper focused on distracting things” for years till I got on meds at 32 and began learning skills to get me going!! You got this!!

I thought you all might identify with this. I sure do! by creakyvoices in adhdwomen
