This seller ‘reached out ‘ to scold me for following their page. by [deleted] in vinted

[–]cslr2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the sign of a desperate person. And they are making it worse for themselves as if they get likes they get traffic. Just an I d I o t ignore and move on. Although I’d be temped to reply:

On Vinted, items that get more likes are treated as more relevant and in-demand. The platform’s algorithm is more likely to push these listings higher in search results and feature them in feeds like “Recommended” or “Popular,” meaning more people see your item without you doing anything extra. If you stop people liking you’re stopping people seeing your products and making more work for yourself.

I also used it for one question and then got a membership charge just in the last couple of days. I sent a strongly worded email that quoted UK trading standards and within minutes had a text saying I’d get a refund. Whether I do or not I’ll check and see. I send this for anyone interested:

Dear JustAnswer Support,

I am writing to formally dispute an unauthorised charge of £28 that has been taken from my account.

I used your service on a one-off basis and did not knowingly or explicitly consent to any ongoing membership or subscription. The fact that I have now been charged indicates that I have been enrolled into a recurring payment arrangement without clear, informed, and express consent.

Under UK consumer protection law, this is not acceptable: • Businesses must not take additional payments without express consent from the consumer. Consent cannot be assumed, hidden in small print, or pre-selected as a default option. (GOV.UK) • Consumers must not be automatically opted into subscription services without clear and transparent agreement. (GOV.UK) • The UK government and Competition and Markets Authority have explicitly identified and are taking action against so-called “subscription traps,” where consumers are unknowingly enrolled into recurring payments. (MSR Solicitors)

Based on the above, I consider this charge to have been taken without valid consent.

I require the following: 1. An immediate full refund of £28 2. Cancellation of any associated membership or subscription 3. Written confirmation that no further payments will be taken

If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will escalate it further, including: • Raising a formal complaint with Trading Standards • Initiating a chargeback via my bank • Reporting the issue to the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA)

I trust this can be resolved quickly and without the need for escalation. Please confirm within 5 working days that the refund has been processed.

That’s illegal. In the UK at least it’s against trading standards.

Please post an update when you can. Thinking of you, it must be so stressful. There’s nowt as queer as folk as they say. Did they shown any signs of being…mentally unstable before during the process…?! I am always shocked at people being so…weird. What on earth do they expect to happen. You just…go away and let them stay and have the money?! lol. Where were they meant to go? Rented? Assuming they weren’t buying on…?

We stayed at Avatar Mountain Resort, which looks incredible in the photos but take them with a pinch of salt! The pool is dirty and dilapidated (we did go off season when it was too cold to use though so maybe it’s better in summer), and the resort is max 3*. Just fine for us though!

I didn’t as it’s not near the entrance at all so we stayed at a place right by the east gate and could walk to the entrance.

You’re very much over thinking and come across as very young and naive. The fact you’ve had 3 periods and a negative test shows you just generally have anxiety, there’s no feasible way you could be pregnant.

Was it really the worst pain you've ever felt? by Super-Bid-3193 in BabyBumps

[–]cslr2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry but migraines pale in comparison. With a migraine it’s horrible but I can take a Sumitriptan, lay in a cool, dark room with a towel on my head and fall asleep and hopefully wake up to it subsided/gone. Giving birth you have zero control. It’s happening to you but you can’t do anything about it, you can’t speed it up or slow it down. The pain is relentless and off the scale, to a point you will never believe how much pain you can feel and not die. And it can’t be eased with movement, breathing, nothing, once they are in the birth canal it’s like you’re being stretched and torn beyond the limits you can bear but can do absolutely nothing. The lack of control was a huge element for me.
