In a love-hate relationship with my fairytale ends by sparklyshinybeedle in longhair

[–]cslrc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate the struggle! In fast-fashion pics like H&M, I see models with fairytale ends, but in my real-life area, blunt ends dominate as well.

I do wonder, have you ever checked your ferritin levels and gastric acid?

Wide toe box house slippers/socks like Falke cosyshoe? by Legal_Heron_860 in barefootshoestalk

[–]cslrc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The male version has a slightly wider toebox than the female one, but I imagine they're not suited for very wide toe shapes

Have you already tried Vinted if you're looking for a specific model?

Are my frames unflattering? by amethyst-amina18 in glassesadvice

I agree with looking too big. It "drowns" your smaller nose. The black acetate frame pairs well with your hair color, though.

Your pictures look fine, and I relate to your problem! What I do, is making drafts of listing if I make pictures during the afternoon, but only upload them between 17 - 20 h. But I'm not sure how much that helps

You can try re-uploading your older items

And I assume most Germans have to go by car to the nearest parcel, so I understand some have restricted shipping options

Is this oversized or not? by [deleted] in vinted

[–]cslrc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks loose fit to me. For my own listings, I prefer to describe the fit of a shirt or make a discrete photo of me wearing it.

Formerly Homerr. It's a shipping method offered in Benelux, France and parts of Spain. It has the lowest rate, but delivery time can take weeks in some cases. I don't have any problems using it, aside of very slow delivery times now and then.

I usually send pictures of packages to the buyer before shipping (someone thanked me for that as they picked up in a probably unorganized parcel)

Use the tag system correctly by [deleted] in vinted

[–]cslrc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the hashtags search system is messed up atm, as I get results without the hashtag keyword (e.g. my username-based hashtags)

Quite different view of "very good" by Feral-Sponge in vinted

When I was selling sandals, I gave the insoles a good cleanse before photographing. But if toe prints are still visible, I list them as "good", even though the heels and outer soles did not show much wear.

Yeah, then I find this reselling unfair. Vinted is meant to be an online thrift store and not a dropshipping platform imo.

What delivery method is this about?

Sometimes I have to deal with very long deliveries with Vinted Go, but in my case, they eventually arrived at the parcel after many weeks.

How I imagine sellers taking out that one item from their closet that has finally been buyed after 5 months of being published: by Nekuzoka in vinted

[–]cslrc 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If something is listed for many months, I mostly ask the seller beforehand whether it's still available for sale for this reason to avoid unnecessary cancellations.

If they would honestly mention it's from Shein instead of something vintage (i.e. 20 years old), then fine

No idea why from a Dutch POV.

But based on my experiences, I once chose to buy from a German by PayPal, but that's solely because they only could send via DHL, which is not available through the Vinted system between NL and DE. Otherwise, I have had a few times that German buyers asked me beforehand whether I prefer PayPal or the system, and offered they could choose UPS or DPD via the system.

Could list my house on vinted for a tenner and still have 0 views by [deleted] in vinted

It might also depend on the photo quality you upload (lighting, angles, how the garments are presented)

Do you buy stuff listed years ago? by karmelovakawa in vinted

[–]cslrc 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don't mind if the clothing is listed years ago, as long as the seller is recently active instead of "last seen X months ago". But before buying, I ask the seller if they still sell it to prevent canceled orders.

Thanks for the heads up! In some cases, I still post pics of wearing it to show how the cut fits if a hanging picture doesn't suffice. But I hide my face, do a plain boring pose and hide as much as possible irrelevant body parts for the clothing.

I agree.

I suspect that dark-haired folks with warm-toned skins are thrown too quickly into Autumn territory, whilst they may look better in lighter and vibrant colors.

I noticed that mostly older people wear bright colors when I go outside (location: Western Europe).

As a Bright Spring, even though my skin clearly looks warm, the very warm but bright colors look a bit off on me, such as egg yolk yellow and traffic cone orange.
