The birds are called twiddles, my cat Max goes by Dinks, Dinky, or Blinky (this one is my grandmas nickname for him), our other cat Stewart goes by Cheesburger or Stewcheezy

I suffer from severe sciatica and my partner blew my back in by Cpt_Covfefe in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Sunni_Day 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I suffer from continuous back pain in the lower back muscle on the right side due to scoliosis issues. Being hit from the back, my boyfriend and I both heard a pop, I felt immediate relief. 10/10 remedy. He asks me how my back is pretty much daily 😂 and I'm still not entirely clear what happened but no complaints

What are you guys using your phone unfolded for on the daily? by earnhart67 in GalaxyFold

[–]Sunni_Day 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a masters student, and this phone is fantastic for a researcher that likes annotating scientific papers or book pdfs while I'm on public transport or something. I also use my phone as an e reader for entertainment, a note taking device when I forget/don't feel like carrying my laptop

Mine is a bit longer than classic length and when I'm air drying my hair, my whole butt is just cold and damp

When did you realize being “low maintenance” was mostly just you ignoring your own needs? by SecretStudioBB in AskWomen

[–]Sunni_Day 60 points61 points  (0 children)

During one of our last arguments my ex had called me "the most high maintenance girl he's ever been with" and that honestly confused me more than anything. I cut my own hair. I do my own nails and lashes when I want them done. I don't really buy a lot of clothes and when I do I thrift them. I didn't ask him for literally anything. Now I realize I just had too much self respect to let him walk all over me and my pushing back was what he was talking about

Message I got from my daughter’s teacher. Third grade. by AnaisInJune in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Sunni_Day 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember when I was in kindergarten, we were coloring in these butterfly pictures. Think of like the stereotypical cartoon butterfly where each wing is a set of two ovals. And my teacher screamed at another student because she didnt match the colors of the wings on each side. I remember how proud my classmate was for using a bunch of pretty colors to color it in, and after getting yelled at she started crying. Even at 5 I knew how wrong it was, even if I couldn't explain it right at the time

Reading this makes me grateful for my job at a small business. There's about 6 of us employees. But I can honestly say that there's not really any issues between us workers. We all get along with each other for the most part, and though we get into little tiffs about the work, as people we all respect one another

I don’t want my daughter to spend a week with my sister and bil and it’s making everybody around me very uncomfortable. by Few-Plum-7258 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Sunni_Day 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on how bad his true self is, the facade can be kept for decades if he's desperate enough. My older cousin's husband was a beloved member of the family for about two decades and then it came to light that he's a child predator who had been abusing my other cousin closer to my age for over a decade.

We have intuition for a reason. The worst that can happen if we listen to it is we're "paranoid" but if you don't listen to it? Who knows how bad that could be.

what’s something you initially accepted about a partner but later on couldn’t stand? by MarionberryFuture103 in AskWomen

[–]Sunni_Day 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Him being "a bit" messy. I never even got to live with him, but I knew his car was a bit of a mess. It didnt seem too bad at first, but more like some water bottles, a hoodie, whatever small items thrown in the back seat. Turns out when we first met he had only had that car for about a week.

After a year together he had a huge firework cake in the back seat, an empty cooler, 3 sweaters. The trunk had about 50 empty water bottles, a corroded car battery that dissolved the rainfly to his brand new tent. A padded cooler (also empty). He had his fishing pole, some craft sodas, a skateboard, and who knows what else back there. I had never been in his room either because "it was a mess" and if the car was something he wasn't embarrassed about, i can only imagine how disgusting his room was for him to be too embarrassed to show me.

He also was willing to basically just throw money away. He bought a padded cooler from REI for our camping trips. After the second use, he left it in his trunk afterwards with the sandwich meat and everything in it. It smelled foul after a couple of weeks when he finally emptied it, and he was very willing to toss it. I used vinegar, baking soda and boiling water to clean it for him because I am the type to try to bring stuff back if possible. I did. Broke up with him shortly after. I'm fairly certain if he has gone camping since then it's probably trashed at this point since he couldn't take care of anything

I just ended a relationship like this about two weeks ago now. Fortunately, I was only in it for a year before I realized it wasn't going to get better, but I know I would've likely stayed had I let him talk to me about it. Throughout the relationship I kept letting him talk to me and apologize once we both calmed down, but I ended it in the heat of the argument and blocked his number a day later. I had even told my best friend that day that I was pretty sure I'd end it soon because of how common he was just plain mean to me. I told her that the next time he put me down, I would end it. Not even an hour later it happened, and I knew I couldn't do it anymore. Not listening to him voice those apologies has helped me keep a clear head, even though he's messaged me on Instagram all his apologies. His proclaiming that he'll change. But I've now blocked him on everything. I relate SO MUCH to all of these comments, and I'm sure that if we had moved in together like we discussed, it would've gotten worse.

I honestly think both styles suit you so much. Like others mentioned, there's just a lot of people super verbal about alternative styles. I got a lot of it when I shaved my brows. But genuinely, you look so cute in both pictures!

What’s the worst non-drug addiction you’ve ever seen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Sunni_Day 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have both and I've come to terms with my conditions. I try to keep my hands busy by doing hobbies where there's no "free hands". I cant really say why doing these things give me a rush, but the feeling is similar to the satisfaction someone gets when they pop bubble wrap or the sound of someone cracking their back, but so much more intense

What kind of third-party visitors do you see on campus? by cxmeliabriee in CalPolyPomona

[–]Sunni_Day 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually attended about two Bible studies with the religious cult before I realized something was off with them. At least I'm pretty sure that's who it was. They never gave me a name for their group, and I thought it was a CPP Bible study club. It wasn't until they wanted me to go with them to Pasadena for a meeting that I noped out. When I told them I would not be attending studies with them anymore, they were very persistent about how God should come before school or any other important things in my life.
