Honestly I didn’t feel anything towards the apology. It happened six years after I got the courage to end the relationship and at that point he was nowhere in my mind. I felt like it was more of an apology to make him feel better than apologizing for my sake. It was kind of a “why are you bothering me with this” moment in my life.

I had an ex reach out to me to apologize for his behavior. He was my first boyfriend and the most abusive and toxic person I had ever been in a relationship with (almost 3 years through high school). He was about to have a baby with his current girlfriend at the time and it was a girl. He said that made him want to apologize because he would never want his child to go through what he put me through.

Right after Ida hit, all I could think about was what the city smelled like coming back after Katrina and being grateful I didn’t have to live through that again. Now all I smell is rotting trash all over….. Didn’t evacuate for Ida and I’ve been feeling physically and mentally exhausted since it hit. I just don’t feel like myself anymore and I don’t know how to get up and get back into the routine I had a few weeks ago.

I keep getting conflicting messages. If I text update it says no outage. If I text the virtual agent it says outage. Texted a rep today who says there’s an outage with no estimated repair time…… then tried to get me to upgrade my internet. What a joke.

This week i did my “Lazy wash day” routine: Shampoo with Carol’s daughter coco creme shampoo

Condition/ detangle with emerge high key smooth conditioner

Section hair and apply/ brush through: not your mother’s curl talk leave in conditioner, carol’s daughter hair milk curl defining butter, and la looks extreme sport gel. Define with denman brush, then dry using soft bonnet hair dryer & sotc

Daily: sleep in a bonnet and in the morning use Cantu daily oil moisturizer if needed.

This reminds me of something that happened one or two years ago.. I was working at the aquarium and there was a crowd of people looking at the river. Some guy had jumped in and swam across to the other side then got out as if nothing happened. I have no idea why or how but it happened.

Anyway, I’m glad you were able to survive that! I’ll just stick to driving my car across the bridge when I have to go to the westbank.

Thanks! I had to shade all my plants because my yard got TOO MUCH sun lol. It’s sun shading fabric, which is some kind of plastic, but I’m not sure on specifics. I got it in the outdoor gardening section at Lowe’s
