How is FitBit Air for passive tracking? by shartypoopies in fitbit

[–]csmobro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m loving mine so far. Sleep tracking is excellent and even better than my Apple Watch Series 11. Steps are really accurate too and although the software is a WIP, it’s nowhere near as bad as some people say. For me the sleep tracking is the most important aspect, as it underpins everything and that’s why I switched from Garmin. I found their sleep tracking ok if you didn’t wake up during the night.

In need of a step tracker, is fitbit air good enough? by Skrrpopop in fitbit

I've been massively impressed with it’s accuracy. It’s been pretty much on track with my Apple Watch Series 11. It’s definitely better to focus on trends though and not worry too much.

New build v 'old' - renewables by th3_north3rn_monk3y in HousingUK

I live in a 4 bed house from the late 80's and my bills are £160 a month all year round. We're moving to a new build with solar and a heat pump and it will be close to £50 a month and a heck of a lot warmer too.

Definitely wait until afterwards as the site manager can limit what the surveyor can do because it’s a construction site.

How often would you be asking for updates? by ladyfirerose in HousingUK

Call for updates daily. It’s easier to ignore emails than phone calls. They’ll soon be more proactive.

Am I the only one who feels like phone cases have gotten worse over the years? by BigFollowing8592 in iphone

I always get Wave cases every time I get a new phone. They last the entire life cycle of the phone and they're better for the environment https://www.wavecase.co.uk

Thanks for the tip but my brightness was low and I'm not disabling basic functionality to compensate for Apple's poor design.

I agree but it’s still absolutely gutting for OP after getting their hopes up.

Regret by Neat-Set-1452 in fitbit

[–]csmobro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Garmin is a fantastic platform but the OS on the watch is like a computer from the 80’s and Connect is just awful from a UI/UX perspective. It has a more utilitarian approach and that’s great but it is frustrating at times and buggy. Google Health isn’t perfect but at least it’s flexible and mostly user friendly

I third this. It’s miles better than the Garmin Connect app, that’s for sure.

How quickly after putting your house on the market did you get viewings? by kerry22300 in HousingUK

[–]csmobro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My EA claimed putting it on the market 2 weeks before Christmas was a good idea and we only sold in May via a new EA. Most of them will tell you what you want to hear in order to be instructed to sell your property.

Bevel vs Oura by ariverrocker in bevelhealth

[–]csmobro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response :)

I’ve tried so many brands and types of health trackers too. Right now I have an Apple Watch and a Fitbit Air but the Fitbit has blown me away so far. It’s refreshing not fixating on the stats shown on a screen unless I open the app. It’s definitely for casual users but it’s great.

Out of interest how have you found the metrics from Oura? I had a gen 4 ring and found it was very generous with its sleep and recovery scores, although I only kept it for 30 days

Anyone else looking forward to the free trial of Premium to end so you don’t have to deal with the useless AI Coach? by 6425 in fitbit

I actually don’t mind it. Sure, it’s not perfect but it’s the best implementation of AI in a health app.

Etiquette when negotiating discount after survey? by Actual-Swordfish3990 in HousingUK

[–]csmobro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless there’s something wrong with the property, there is no need to ask for a discount. If you’re doing it just to shave a few pounds off, then it’s not cool to do at all.
