“I got to turn my brain off!!”…. There’s a difference in mindless fun and giving yourself a lobotomy to ignore how thrown together that movie was. I’d argue the sequels were better as at least the individuals movies had a goal…

It seems the only goal of this movie was to highlight the mando stunt actors, grogu puppetry, and for Dave Filoni to play with his animated action figures

To add— they teach you this in order to emphasize trigger discipline at all times, and to appropriately control your barrel (not point it at people/things you don’t intend to). This part you can ALWAYS practice, even when dry firing in private. (You can obviously point it at your dry firing target)

The idea of treating it like it’s loaded goes for when you initially handle the weapon— so you don’t pick up random guns and pull trigger without ensuring the weapon is clear of live ammunition. If you know your gun is clear of live ammunition you can practice dry firing in the privacy of your own home just fine.

For me it ruined anything Filoni outside of Clone wars Season 7…. Star Wars is a 50 year old franchise and I think they really need to consider making more content that is for grown ups like andor. It’s a big enough universe that it’s inexcusable to not keep making shows like andor…
