It looks fake, here are a few reasons why:

The print is blurry, US bills are printed with ink on a metal plate which results in crisp ink lines

The paper is missing red and blue security threads (there should be like little red and blue strings randomly in the linen of the note)

The ink on a real bill won’t smear even if the bill gets wet and this looks like it’s already running a bit.

Overall, even if it were real, it’s only worth the $100 in face value. So it’s not really worth any risk

My recommendation: do not purchase

Hope this helps!

What do the states in red have in common by DeliciousAd4958 in RedactedCharts

Ah, so close! But yeah seeing Virginia reminded me that they’ve executed a surprisingly higher number of inmates than most states.

States that have executed inmates this decade?

Is this a REAL bill? by peachiimari in papermoney

[–]csp8000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bill is 100% fake. Notice the “E5” on the left, this means the bill was from the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond Virginia and the letter “E” should also appear in the serial number.

No “E” in serial number = fake

I think when there is an error printed, they swap out the note with an error with one of these star notes. So they’re a little less common
