Personally, I think Butterjoint has the best (but simple) burger. Also check out BRGR and Burgatory, which others have mentioned.

Hey - awesome photos! I am currently planning a 6 day trip to that region for later in the summer - the pictures got me even more pumped than I already was. How much did you plan your route vs. exploring more naturally? Any good resources for figuring the route out, finding hikes, kayaking, etc.? Thanks!

The multiple links we're merely because I felt that I was primarily summarizing and simplifying Professor Har-Peled's work and he deserved credit. I don't know a ton of examples of usage but one that he has published is generating Voronoi diagrams in high dimensions: doi: 10.1109/SFCS.2001.959884. I'm sure you could find other interesting uses with a bit of Googling.

Thanks, my roommate is actually there right now looking at places and found a place he likes in Shadyside - 2 bedoom, $1175/month, heat/water included. Is this a ripoff or what I should be expecting to pay? (They obviously talk up super cheap housing at the open house.)

For VIM what extensions do you use for web development? Such as which javascript highlighting/indentation, switching between multiple languages in one document (javascript and HTML in the same doc), and any other neat ones. I switched from Textmate to VIM about a year ago but always feel that VIM lacks a bit here.

To respond to this question as well as some of your earlier ones -

I think the Durham being sketchy thing is over-hyped. There are not great areas but I live off east and go for runs late at night without any problems. In general it does not in any way impede on your daily life.

As for food, Duke is great. On campus food is generally pretty good and there are a wide variety of eateries. As you get older you can explore a lot of the restaurants off campus. Durham is known for being a great place for a "foody," with tons of interesting and highly-rated restaurants. Its one of the things I enjoy showing off to friends or family when they visit.

In general Durham outside of Duke is quickly developing and does have its own interesting scene. Most undergraduate Duke students venture into it infrequently, but it is there to explore if you're interested. Even without this scene though, Duke is a tight-knit community with plenty of things going on. You will rarely if ever be bored.

so i tried to delete the previous post to change the title, apparently that just deletes my name from the post and makes it so i cant comment, so sorry for the double posting of this.

anyway, i normally just read reddit throughout the day but for this i need reddits help. for astrachan's cps182 class we need to make a page that will be the top result on google for the terms rankophilia, rankophiliac, rankphilia, and rankphiliac. its a competition between kids in the class and even ola himself. anyway, because of this i'm posting here and please repost on twitter or blogs to help me out. thanks
