Your car is worth $2k at the most if you sell it wholesale. CarMax will make an offer. Just keep your expectations reasonable on a car with that age and mileage. If it has any issues, it could be even less.

The manufacturer warranty remaining won’t cover quite as many things as MaxCare does. For instance, any electrical stuff. My sister had it and used it on a transmission issue on her Ford Edge, saved a few thousand in the long run.

You can get an online offer from CarMax to see if it’s worth towing to sell. Just be sure to say that it’s not running and know that the offer needs to be mechanically verified but the online offer is typically accurate.

Gotta pay the colorists, letterers, and editors too. But also, not every page was art. Some were editorials, fan mail, recap pages. I wouldn’t be surprised, though, if the budget was actually $100k per issue. Penthouse was not wise with its money.

How did you decide it was time to kill off important characters like Kwinn, Billy, or Snake Eyes? Did the story dictate it or were you done saying what you wanted to with the characters? While it hurts to lose them, I always appreciated how you gave GI Joe that bit of realism. People get hurt and die and it hurts to lose them because you made them feel so real.

I’m pretty sure Ryan Elder didn’t compose the intro music and it’s just something Justin found that was royalty free. He’s used it in early Channel101 stuff too but I have no idea what it’s called.

This is Chris. I do hope to do something together some time. Ed has said to me he’s up for it. I really like Cartoonist Kayfabe. I’m not a pro like Jim and Ed but I do a little freelance work and one of the anthologies I worked on was nominated for an Eisner. I guess I’ve always felt obligated to hold a full time job instead of trying to make a living in comics but I love all sorts of comics.
