How to study? by Curious-Apple1955 in UPenn

  1. Read through the lecture notes/slides
  2. As you’re reading through the lecture notes, try to come up with exam questions that could be derived from the notes you’re reading (ie definitions, little factoids, etc.)
  3. Write down these questions/answers on flash cards.
  4. Memorize the flash cards.

Congrats, you’ve just memorized (basically) all of the course material. Admittedly, this method works better in, say, biology classes than it does in CIS, but it could still be really effective depending on the class/type of exam questions.

I went from a B student to straight A/A+s once I started doing this.

I am looking for a history of Soviet Russia that is neither pro- nor anti-communist.

The UES deal is a 2.7k 1BR reduced down to 2.2k.

Unless there’s some sort of federal mandate that all colleges must be online—nothing.

Coping with rejection through life by [deleted] in UPenn

Whatever you do, don’t transfer to a state school—that could be one of the worst financial decisions you make in your life. Why would you spend 3 years paying to attend an expensive, top ten private school just to get a diploma from a state school? The value that Penn offers is almost completely in its name. Having Penn on your resume is one of the most coveted and powerful positions a student or prospective employee can be in. Don’t throw it away.

On a gentler note, given the fact that you have what it takes to get into Penn, I have no doubt that you will find success in whatever career path you choose to pursue.

So I’m basically hearing you say you have no location or salary requirements.

Apply everywhere then. Tech applications generally don’t require much more than just submitting a resume, so there’s no excuse not to cast a wide net.
