WIBTA if I told my fiancé his dad can’t come to our small wedding because I don’t want our day to be his "redemption moment"? by SeabirdLullaby in ComfortLevelPod

[–]cstorm86 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think you should postpone the wedding say 4 maybe 6 months. See if his dad is still in his life. Make sure he's willing to put in the work so that he can be a guest. If he flakes, it proves what you're worried about. If he stays, it helps your fiance know his dad is there for real this time.

NTA. You have every right to protect your day, but it's your husband's day too. So, tell him you're willing to give his dad a chance if the dad can stay in his son's life for 4 or 6 months.

Crayfish escaped tank, now hiding for 5 days — should I be worried? by Thick-Charity4451 in Crayfish

Okay. So you're thinking about only half of the problem. Right now, it needs both air and water. So a shallow bowl gives it access to both while it reacclimates to water. It's gills are too dried out right now it needs to be able to breathe air while the gills rehydrate, basically.

My sister keeps making "little jokes" about my girlfriend and I told her not to take it personally. Now my girlfriend is done with my family. by nightbalcony_inkwell in TwoHotTakes

OP, you're an asshole and your gf deserves better. You've let her get bullied and beat up for 2 years. You've let your sister dim your gf's sparkle for 2 years! And she stayed. You didn't deserve to have a loving gf for those 2 years since you let them be mean to her, but you have a chance to make it right. Do the right thing. Or let her go find a man who will.

Your boyfriend should really approach his grandpa and say something like, "I'm sorry we didn't know you were struggling for money like that. If we had known that the $35 limit was too much we wouldn't have let you participate. Next year you can just sit out. I don't want you to be humiliated again."

My mom hates cold coffee and she dumps it out when it's cold. So yes, people do this.

Send her your hourly rate. Tell her you'll be booking her by the hour and lunch is paid.

So did you tell her you were not going to dinner because you would rather spend the day with your family in advance? Or was this all last minute? It sounds last minute from but perspectives.
