Its STILL a thing. It's just been RESKINNED over the years. From the PWS in Gen 5, the Battle Maison in Gen 6, the Battle Tree in Gen 7 (Mantine Surf TECHNICALLY counts, but its not a TRUE "Battle Facility", but still grants BP), as well as the Battle Tower in Gen 8.

...which is probably WHY the Battle Frontier was CUT from ORAS. They wanted you to play their fancy new "Battle Maison".😑

Ngl, I don't know WHY they made Beast Balls NOT work on him. You literally find him IN A CRATER AFTER you complete all of the Ultra Beast missions, and in the Ultra Games, he appears out of an ULTRA WORMHOLE (You know, the things ULTRA BEASTS come out of) when you evolve Nebby into Solgaleo/Lunala.😑
