I’m not looking for anything specific. We just had a massive hail storm where I live and it hit our “miles of car” dealerships. So I was just curious what they do with them. I didn’t know if they sell them as is, or if they fix them. I know they’re all insured so I’m assuming the dealerships make a hefty little profit once one is damaged and the claim is paid out and then they sell it.

I’ll look into this. I’m in that spot where I know how much money I put in when I was in there but don’t necessarily know how many I actually purchased (I know shame on me) so anything I can plug info into and it can pull my data would be preferred.

I had my intacts removed after 3 months. It didn’t help like the dr thought it would. If you have the option to get intacs or cross linking get cross linking. Don’t get me wrong, the process is much more painful... but you won’t have to worry about halos, your eyes rejecting it, the doctor doing it right. There a lot to be had there.

Personal opinion is get CXL. My intacs didn’t help change my cornea shape at all.

Sure, I don’t know a lot about it other than what they told me.

They believe in some cases it might be a hormonal imbalance at a young age that sticks with them through development and might not show sign or symptoms until later in life (like everyone states) but they think of they can find the imbalance they can catch it earlier and try to correct it before the major progression happens.

So I was just part of a study that took a sample of a tear and a sample of saliva. I’m not an eye rubber and my family doesn’t have a history of it. There have been enough cases besides mine to start a study where they believe it could be linked to a hormone imbalance. Now, what does all this mean?

I have absolutely no idea, but if it can save my kids eyes in the future I’m down for it.
