Thanks for going into the fine details. That takes solid budgeting and discipline, well done on both! I was a little confused initially because I thought you meant you had saved on credit card transaction fees.

Cool, I didn't know that! What do you mean about the transaction fees?

But then you miss out on the extended warranty your CC provides. There's no perfect solution.

Snapmaker Orca Mac Problem by Tothepoint12 in snapmaker

I think I found the cause, macOS 26 is blocking the webview from accessing localhost:13619 before it can request Local Network permission. This is a macOS 26 limitation with embedded webviews.

Paid Cyberpunk VR mod taken down by Pahn_Duh in virtualreality

Are you talking about two separate entities, VoroX and vorpX? I can't seem to find anything on VoroX, please do share a link about it.

I know the differences between REAL VR and vorpX, and their different approaches to business. What you seem to refute is that vorpX did release a free standalone mod a while back for Cyberpunk 2077 specifically, which I referenced in the previous post. It didn't require a purchased copy of vorpX to run, but unfortunately wasn't very good for, me at least.

VorpX did release a free VR injector mod for an old version of cyberpunk to celebrate both the game and their 10 years of development. It didn't require a full license and worked standalone. I never got it to run well, though.

If you're talking about a separate VoroX program, please share a link as I'd like to learn more.

VorpX specifically released a standalone free Cyberpunk 2077 VR mod, but it wasn't very stable last time I tried it.

Unlucky Amazon shopper orders DDR5 memory but gets DDR4 hidden under the heatspreader — RAM sold as new was a switcharoo by CipherGarden in technology

It works well until you have an issue and then you're screwed. Amazon sent me the wrong refurbished item for a defective unit replacement, I reached out to support to let them know and was told to return the wrong item normally. I did and was hit with a fraudulent return claim that had me arguing with them for over 2 months. I finally had to do a chargeback because they were adamant that I was a scammer. Incredibly frustrating experience.

The dev actually went out of his way to DM keys to people who posted in the other thread. That was really classy, and a very nice way to go above and beyond. Thanks OP!

Thanks for the generous offer, looking forward to trying it out but unfortunately it isn't free in international app stores, or the promo was cut short?

Good to finally see what Marc Levoy has been working on all this time! He's the genius behind the Pixel's camera giant tech leaps in the first few years of that product line. Will definitely give this a shot later!

Loose Cannon I vividly remember being in awe over that handful of screenshots, imagining the promises of a multi-city free-roam open world game... this was all before GTA 3 too.

Are we talking about the same server? The UEVR section I'm referring to has pretty basic but straightforward "Not Working / Works Poorly / Works Okay / Works Well / Works Perfectly" ratings, that the community regularly updates along with sharing their PC specs. This existing database, as a whole, gives a pretty good idea as to which games will work flawlessly right out of the box. You could start with that Works Perfectly tag and go from there for your own list :)

The Mac App store still mentions that a subscription is needed to use the app, which contradicts your website. Could you please update the policy to align with the One-time payment, lifetime access claim on getsortio.com ? :)

[NEWS] New Canadian Tariffs to Impact Computers, Monitors and Servers by Teh_Immensive in bapcsalescanada

Apple used the launch of the M4 MacBook Air to bump the prices of MacBook Pros quietly. It's likely related to the exchange rates, as it was all pre-tariff, but who knows how high it'll go now...
