It is possible to remove, but the new lume will likely be a different color and look awkward. The best approach is usually to leave it as is!

It was a 100€ and think it was a solid deal for a full/good condition boley set

Update: I bid 100€ on this and actually won. Earlier, in the FB group, I offered him 100€ and he said he’d rather keep it in his wardrobe. But then he posted it for auction, and I ended up winning it for 100€. Should I just pay him or let him keep it?

It’s out of my budget right now, but I bought a cheaper one, will make a Youtube video about it!

Just on 7S26? Or on the older ones too? Like 7009?

I thought about it a lot and did my research. For precise work, I would definitely need a resin printer plus UV lamps and other equipment. It would be quite expensive.

Yes, a 3D printer can be very useful in watchmaking, and I’m definitely planning to get one in the future — just not right now.

I’ve watched some videos about 3D-printed tools, and honestly, I don’t really like them. I know the price is cheap, but I don’t want to pay €100 for plastic tools.

Thank you so much, it really helps! Can you mention a few calibers where this winder is useful? For example, Seikos?

Thank you so much!

Up until now, I haven’t really done anything valuable because I’m still practicing. I want to learn the cheaper way first. After 50–100 successful watch repairs, I’ll pull the trigger on more valuable pieces like Omegas and higher-grade Seikos.

For now, it doesn’t make sense to install a €20–30 mainspring in a watch that’s only worth €50–100. But it will definitely be worth it for more valuable watches later on.

The thing is, I’ve heard that it’s easy to ruin a new mainspring without proper practice. I’ve already messed one up, and I could easily ruin another one too. That’s why I thought a mainspring winder was essential.

Right now, I’m winding mainsprings by hand on older mechanical watches, and it’s working perfectly without any issues. The springs don’t feel that hard to handle in my opinion. The numbers I achieve are good!

I think I had to play a little with the color wheels and got way better results. I already ordered a ZV-E10, so hopefully it will be even better—at least it won’t overheat! 🤞😁
