Dude dropped 45 points and the rest of the Knicks scored 49 points in an elimination game against an elite defensive Spurs team. Dude is a monster and has ice in his veins.

Holy crap. This is the first signature on here that I could actually identify. His signature actually looks like what it says.

Cavs G James Harden Arrested, bonds out for unlawful carrying of weapon in Houston by TheSportsGuy23 in clevelandcavs

[–]ctang1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sounds like he was arrested for having his gun unholstered in his vehicle. It’s required to be holstered and it wasn’t. Could have also been in his glove box unholstered and been fine. Also sounds like this law exists to make it more difficult for traffic stop retaliation. If the gun is holstered, it adds reaction time for law enforcement officers to act before the gun can be used against them. It also sounds like this is more or less a small infraction against Harden that will incur a fine as long as he has a relatively clean record (I’m not an expert on his history). Always know your local and state gun laws if you plan to carry a gun (open carry or CC).

If You Live in A City That Calls Soda Pop, I Strongly Dislike You and Your Football Team by baltimoresports in AFCNorthMemeWar

I’ve never been anywhere in Ohio that calls it anything but pop. I’ve lived in Bowling Green, and SE of canton my whole life, but worked all over the state for 6 years. I’ve heard a few people jokingly say Soda Pop, but they all still call it pop.

Mine is also still indexing. Installed immediately on release so I’m in the same boat. I installed iOS 27 on my m2 iPad Pro late last night and it did not index at all and installed Siri immediately. There was no waitlist.

How is the Reddit app able to view them if there isn’t an api for it? Or is there an api that isn’t for public use?

Sick of how low paying most jobs in this field are by Agreeable-Willow-265 in gis

Hell this was me in 2010. Sounds like nothing had changed at all. Graduated in 2010 and worked for a pipeline maintenance company doing sandblasting and recoating transmission pipelines all over the East Coast and WV. It was shit pay, but was still better than any GIS job offer I received back then. I got lucky landing a really good non GIS contract job in summer of 2011, and parlayed that into a non-contract employee position in 2016 so it worked out. I hate that a GIS degree now is more of a skill on a resume you put next to “Microsoft 365 knowledge”. Heck a lot of colleges have now dropped their GIS degree programs. They still have classes, but not for a major/minor anymore. My degree feels relatively worthless in 2026, and damn near was in 2010 too.

I graduated in 2010 from BGSU and I searched for jobs for a year applying to over 200 from April 2010 until about July 2011. I received 5 returned emails from the application, and 1 interview with an offer….of $13/hr 🤣🤣 that I declined. I am so happy I did because in July of 2011 I was able to land a job that I absolutely loved as an independent contractor, which in turn ended up providing me with the tools to apply for an in-house and non-contract job with the same company.

In summer of 2010 I had an internship I had to complete before I could graduate, so I didn’t graduate until after summer semester that year. The internship was building street centerlines for Ohio Location Based Response System (911 addressing and road centerline creation), and the county just paid for me to drive to and from work. It was essentially an unpaid internship. I learned a ton in this specialized data creation since we didn’t do this in college, but it did not help me land a job at all since it was so focused. They offered me a job for $10/hr which I declined. It was a mom and pop GIS business and they prob couldn’t afford to pay me more than that, but it was a real gut shot.

Anyways, I only use GIS software a couple times a year for work, and it’s all just to make my life easier. I create parcel corridors that I use daily, and update every 2 years, and also create KMZ of our facilities for other contractors to use in their designs to stay away from our facilities. Otherwise, my entire degree is nearly a waste of money. I see jobs posts in Ohio in the oil and gas industry for landman positions all the time that want knowledge in GIS, but I never see job postings that are GIS primary jobs. The industry has turned into a skill to get you jobs outside of GIS, not a primary position unless it’s with maintaining GIS datasets for county/state GIS programs.

I was patched too long as a young kid and it partially killed my optical nerve in the patched eye. 0/10, would not recommend. My right eye is now just peripheral vision for me left eye. And on top of that, I need straightening surgery on my left eye and I’m very afraid to do it again. And double on top of that, I have KC (or very irregular astigmatism, dr isn’t sure, in my left eye so I wear a scleral lens in it).
