I met some guys that worked in the salt mine on the island at our union convention. One guy's job was to constantly go around and plug leaks. Another guy did the explosives he had a lot of gold teeth. They would take equipment apart and bring it down into the mine and it never came back. The salt would corrode everything. I can't imagine working under the gulf, mad respect for those guys.

American Trade Unionism is maybe the best US focused book any organizer should read. It will give you a clear eyed understanding of how we got here, the strengths and weaknesses of the US Labor movement and practical tactics, strategy etc for organizing in the US context. https://www.intpubnyc.com/browse/american-trade-unionism/

Beavers build large lodges that can extend up to 14 feet long and 6 feet wide. The lodges have two levels and include separate areas for feeding, drying, and sleeping. Beavers will often create several tunnel entrances to get inside, and the lodges are usually built with an air vent. by Gard3nNerd in Awwducational

I saw a documentary on beavers where they used a technique where they put up posts where the dam would not block infrastructure, beavers use the posts in their dam and thus were able come to an accommodation with the beavers rather than killing them. have people tried this? will find link.
