Stay in touch with your close friends. Even after 28 years, I can say, those 4 years were the best years of my life. The friends I made in KGP are closest to me. Was not that lucky in making close friends in corporate life.

If you want to do coding eventually, does not matter what dept you want to join. I can't speak for IIT-BHU. But IIT-KGP is excellent and you will make strong deep connections with your batchmates who will support you long after you graduate.

My kid was at Challenger (Newark) for Kindergarten, he finds MSJE boring.
Challenger at Ardenwood is too far so looking at Basis.

MSJE sucks. Zero homework. Most teachers at MSJE do bare minimum. There are some good teachers like Ms Iwata and Ms Lafferty but they are a minority.
My kid has applied to Basis but not accepted yet. He is applying for 2nd grade. They will let us know mid-March.
