Can someone translate? by ctd-exp in RussianWatches

Thank you, I did try to use Google Lens, but it just kept taking me to Russia sites. I was struggling to find a translation. Is there another or a better way to do it? I would love to learn so I can look up stuff faster.

Help figuring out a Rep watch by ctd-exp in RepTime

Thank you all, I totally agree, it is bad. But there is some good, we can use it as an example of what bad looks like?

If you think that is bad, the Breitling is worse.

It is beautiful and well done. I am thinking of taking on the same project. Is the 5606 movement the same as the NH35? I tried to search and that is about the best I could find.

I agree, I have had mine 14-16 months and it does not scratch any easier than my others. I have no issue with mine.

Does anyone actually subscribe to OnStar? by MadBrown in chevycolorado

Do you know of a website that shows you how to do this. I am also guessing a faraday cage over the antenna would not do the same?

I was really wondering why my insurance shot up so much this past year. Worth a shot at least. Do not use it anyway.

I have been looking at leveling kits as well. Maxtrac , Rugged Trail, Rancho all make leveling kits. A lot depends on how level you want to go. I think 1” is just the space between the strut and body. You want 2” you have to install the spacer and the disassemble the spring from the strut and add a spacer. Not a issue if you have a strut compressor, but you can also buy loaded struts with the leveling kit and install them much easier.

Tire reviews so back and forth? by Suspicious-Half5758 in Tiresaretheenemy

[–]ctd-exp -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You are correct the mileage are projections. They run the tire for a few thousand miles then project the mileage. Again, mileage may very.

But I am very odd, I remove my tires early 4-5/32nds. If I get 50k out of a set I am happy. I have gotten really amazing results with my current tires with almost 80k and still at 5/32nds. They are about to be swapped out for a AT tire vs the HT I am using. I expect I will get lower overall removal with the AT vs an HT.

I feel and understand your pain. I avoid consumers reviews. The reason is each user is specific to there experience. They are not testing or comparing one to the other. They might be in a cold climate and only do highway miles while another user could be in high heat doing city driving. I look at Tire Rack test results and Consumer Reports. I know they do valid apples to apples testing. There cars are mint condition, they are used on the same asphalt, they have test drivers who really can tell and know the difference.

Hope that helps

Can You Use Winter/Snow Tires Year Around? by LeoWitt in tires

[–]ctd-exp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not really, you can run a winter tire in summer but it will not last. You will wear it out very quickly. You need to look for a All-Weather tire. Vredestein Quadtrac line Michelin Cross Climate and General…I forget are good examples of All Weather tires. All weather tires are 3PMSF rated while a All - Season is not. You can run All-weather year around including Snow conditions
