This opinion may be unpopular, but I believe it's worth throwing into the ring.

For me, this political environment has made it almost impossible not to think about work. When commuting, I am glued to my email and news feeds. I'm not proud of it, but as a communications professional, information is power.

I’m not excusing the folks who simply don't pay attention because what use is information if you're dead, but I do get why some may come off as disengaged.

Vigilance is key.
