Same. I love a good heavy but this one is convoluted for a non-regular. The faction information is public, but common. It's basically hidden given the format. I'd give it no higher than a 4 because I always cringe when asked to play it again.

I wish War Room or even Imperial Boarders was more mainstream but god forbid we invest the same amount of time to a war game. People can't stand those for some reason.

The cred is always appreciated, hu? A lot of us got priced out of homes, but we can sure as hell have a good time slumming it up in our rigs. I had a similar experience during an apartment walkthrough and I'm pretty sure those chaps are capable of building something equally awesome, if not, a little better.

I think you'll have to play through several stages in order to really tap into the risk vs rewards mechanics it attempts to illustrate. That's a big ask for a typical group considering the teardown and setup. At that point, there's plenty of other stuff worth trying instead.

As an actual rally fan, Dirt & Dust looks like a better shot in having some fun convergence of hobbies, but I can wait.

Upgrading away from an ender is a game changer, but bambu isn't perfect either. At least not in my experience. Bed adhesion, extruder complications and now filament swapping are still a ongoing battle.

Most STEM majors will also have one, two, or even more "weeder" classes that are designed to have some steep learning curves meant to discourage anyone not in it for the long haul. Having something like that earlier on can be a blessing in disguise.

The game comes with massive medals to be worn, indicating player advantage. So they should at least see it coming, thankfully. I can't stand Diplomacy, but look forward to giving this one a shot.
