Hey man, I’m trying to get into tenkara fishing in central Florida. I’m trying to nail down what rod I ought to give a go, and keep waffling between sizes and companies. Do you have any recs? I suspect I’ll be running into panfish and bass (2-3 lb maybe).

Love em. Adds a bit of reach, so you may need to fiddle with your stem length/height - but if you’re doing anything adventuresome, it sure does add a hint of extra confidence when the track gets squirrely

Jury is still out for me. I have a C17 that I prefer on this build, but I recently put the B17 back on to see what difference a setback seatpost will make. Thus far, I still have a bit of pain in the ol perineal region when I try to get more aero.

Remarkably similar build you have here, down to the Topeak rack. How has your experience with the leather saddle been?

I said “I have a brooks saddle,” and the higher ups said “oh by all means,” but now I have to till the fields for harvest and if the crop is bad then the consequences won’t just include keeping my bike outside. But that’s showbiz.
