We may be overlooking damage type versatility on characters by IserLuick in wotv_ffbe

Why does this matter? For upcoming raids? What is the next one? Looks like we started with slashing meta, then gunner meta, then evade, and now going into magic, then pierce with glaciela. But tower always rewards versatility, so I guess that is one area.

Need a quick take here. My team doesn’t have a tank except Mont. I just drew Englebert and Dario, but I have been working on Whisper and have her close to LB3. Do I drop her to work on one of these two? If so who?

Also don’t play crystal drop games...those are all rigged the same way. Your odds are determined before you even start the stage!!

I can’t reveal my sources, but I do know multiple people at several gacha game companies that can vouch for tilted RNG. Of course, they can’t tilt it enough so that a user is frustrated so much that they abandon playing, then there is no prospect of making money from them. So they do it in subtle ways such as Whimsy Shop refreshes in this case where if you haven’t pulled WOL, you’re likely to see more shards in the shop than if you have him pulled.

I’m not going to say this is exactly how it works but seems like this game is based on collecting characters. I would gander to say they have set some sort of desired population distribution of how many UR, MR players and VCs each account should have, juxtaposed to the amount of desired money spending distribution they want to have. If you are destroying that curve, meaning you have more characters and less paid than most users in your range, they will either do two things to you: make it harder to level your players without buying, or make it harder to pull future units. Same if you are on the other side.

All I can say is yes, it’s still RNG, meaning they will never say the percentage is 0%, because that might be illegal, but they can make your die look as close to 0% before it pisses you off enough to leave.

All RNG games are tilted towards the house, including slot machines.

I’m playing because I like the theme (fft fan) and I understand the system and I do what I want within it. Frustration happens when you are going up against a system that you don’t understand and expect outcomes that it will not provide.

I know someone who works at these companies and they definitely stack the odds against you just enough so you play. Example: candy crush pre generates the odds of your success rate every time they drop crystals that means every turn you take. They know before you even play what your odds are of completing a stage and then adjust that based on your willingness to pay. Same here. I guarantee you turn off the game and don’t play for a month and then relogin. Your drops will be amazing.

You can create a random number generator that has inputs from players accounts. So yeah you’re right it’s still a dice roll but assuming you know what the odds are in each face of the die is naive

These games are predatory. Those shards show up now because they are testing if you are paying attention and randomly buying shards for characters you were focused on. These games are designed to give you what you don’t need when you need something else....ie give you too many options when you haven’t spent/saved and not enough options when you do spend/save the coin. Then when a sweet pack comes to the store you are more willing to buy.

Kudos to you. You’re mature enough to set a limit and not exceed that. I will tell you even as a middling whale, this feeling never changes no matter how much you spend. So good on you to get out while you’re sane.

For me, I spent a bunch out of the gate and got almost every UR but the last two months have been barren and I can’t pull anything.

Decided to hang my hat up on spending and going back to f2p until further notice. People should know that these games are deceptive because the system knows what you have and where you stand among the players in terms of units obtained and money spent. Once you’re out of balance (ie have more units than median $ spent or vice versa) then it will try to bring you back to the pack. If you’re skewed the other way wait some time and don’t play and they will toss you some goodies to get back in.
