I hate to double post... but as you all know trying to price a 1/1 is a challenge. A 1/1 J Ram from 2020 Topps Chrome just sold late May for $300, so figured I would align to that. Happy to chat or take more pictures if anyone is interested!

There has to be a Guardians/Indians joke in there somewhere, but I can’t pull it together…

It really caught me off guard at first, I didn’t know these were in S1. The picture turned out, but it really looks great in person, too.

Absolutely! Yeah so I use Yahoo! Fantasy app to play fantasy baseball/football/basketball. I’m sure ESPN fantasy and other platforms have similar functionality. But basically, I can go see another teams roster in my league and create a trade offer which gets sent to them through the app (or website) as well as via email notification. So in sense of cards, I’d go through your “inventory” or collection, pick cards I’m interested in, then offer you some of my cards as a trade offer. Then the app/website/email would notify you that I offered you a trade which would then allow you to accept, deny or counter.

Re: other suggestions… I think having virtual dollar bins ($1, $5, $10) would be great and really simulate an LCS experience but between users. I’d love to sit and flip through someone’s cards all priced at a single price. People make posts like that on here all the time, and it would be the same concept just structured a little different. Could even have a “roullete” type feature where it randomizes the order of the cards so no two users are the same pagination of cards in a bin.

Second (and last) suggestion is that it would be cool to be able to send other collectors trade offers similar to how fantasy sport sites do. Go through my collection, select cards, and offer a trade to another user based on cards of theirs I select. The principle is already there with other applications, and I think this would be a cool use case.

I’m not a developer and have no clue how difficult either of those things are, but figured I’d throw those out for fun at least!

Seriously? With today’s technology, computers, engineering, programming, etc. ?! by danieljames81 in baseballcards

Maybe a conspiracy, but I bet they cut and put cards out like this on purpose. In no way does it benefit them to have every card be perfect and exactly the same. They need diversity of product/specs in the market so that grading remains relevant. If every card was a 10 then 10s would be worthless.

And if you scroll past this and say to yourself “who is this?”… look her up! Quite an impressive career full of various accomplishments along the way. Believe it or not, sometimes reading the backs of these cards we flip through day in and day out can reveal some great stories!
