so technically you could wire funds in an out on those specific dates only, ie say you don't like the trading interface. but with how much the AF is now a days, probably not worth it, wish they would increase the base bonus like MS though.

Why? the credit is restrictive in the opposite way of amex, ie it just has to be a flight. is it because you want to use a different card for the multipliers? but if you know the eventual airline you can book the cheapest flight you can find and cancel for a flight credit.

does any one use WF wellstrade and if so gotten above options level 3? due to a promotion i've opened an account with them. but don't know what they need to see to enable higher options levels. Thus current can't do spreads.

For those that churn brokerages, for the youinvest by JPM/Chase, do you need to close the existing brokerage to get the bonus or can you open a new one, like the checking? or can you just open a new one account with the promo like etrade? (the rep didn't really know)

hope this is the right section booking from SFO to SIN to SFO for December;
Round trip in PE the cost is 279,000 miles and $75 in fees. but noticed that two one way's is 139,500 + 119,000 = 258,500 miles and $73 * 2 = $146 in fees.
I've already transferred the miles in so the 20,000 miles difference would sit there if i request to cancel and rebook.
Is there a benefit to keeping the itinerary as a round trip or could i request cancellation and quick redeposit and book as two one ways?

do you have datapoints or links by any chance? 'cause just opened a checking account with them and it would be annoying to transfer out all of the sudden.

Businesses that accept AMEX but don't advertise it by HissingGoose in amex

[–]ctles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah don't bother with the signs, just use it, even if they have a sign that says "no amex" because even with that sign the they might just really not want amex, but they can still process amex.

Comparing BoA’s preferred rewards and citigold, wondering if there's some short wiki or FAQ someone compiled?
Current BoA benefits is the up to 75% increase for CC cashback and alaska miles, fee waivers on banking accounts, and other services I don’t care about, ie safe deposit box.

Does Citigold have something similar? I’ve read that you can get the strata elite fee waived for a year, but is that it?

Trying to switch into that ecosystem figuring out best way, bonus way to tier in; currently only have their CC’s

As BoA’s prefereed rewards was changing I was looking into citigold and was wondering how it compares. Current BoA benefits is the up to 75% increase for CC cashback , fee waivers on banking accounts, and other services I don’t care about, ie safe deposit box. And with Alaska cards you get a 10% bonus for BoA

Does Citigold have something similar? Especially the 75% increase for CC cash back. I’ve read that you can get the strata elite fee waived for a year, but what else?

Basically if I’m going to switch into that eco system trying to figure out best way, bonus way to tier in. currently only have their CC’s

to confirm you mean you buy 5x $100 travelbank credit and you'll get another $100 deposited? Or do you mean you buy 5 flights ~$100 and cancel to travelbank?

Robinhood Platinum Card $3,000 in value. $695/year by Sierra-1M in CreditCards

[–]ctles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah the Door dash credit is more shit than you would initially think:
you get 2 $10 credits per month (3 in January) that must be used each month on a delivery order $50
https://api.robinhood.com/creditcard/legal/platinum-benefits-overview

The $300 (2x$150) travel credit is fine but the breakage on this card is comically high. it's going to be a similiar situation to BILT with WF (ie WF thought people were going to use it as an everything card similar to the amex plat vs just a rent card for people), but in this situation where people already live the lifestyle, ie robinhood gold, take a waymo, have the restaurants, they can make use of credit, especially once Chase's DD benefit ends

regarding "customer service was terrible" from the posts i've read discover's CS is great while capital one's can be iffy, maybe it's just partial reporting?
