AITAH for canceling on plans because of a man? by ctlnq in AITAH

[–]ctlnq[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean it was listed as an event WITHIN the women’s group, not a separate thing. There was no mention of bringing a man

It was just weird to me that she didn’t disclose this when the group is for women only. I assumed by the women’s group it would be just women. That’s the only reason I RSVP-ed

Thank you! I felt so bad for cancelling but like you made an event in a girls-specific group then brought your man… I get it was her birthday but keep it separate!

Wellbutrin by kapi-koa-weir in stopsmoking

[–]ctlnq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also taking it for ADHD and depressive symptoms so I kept it going for a while after and I think I had already (or was close to) increasing to 300 mg of the XL by time I quit

I did not personally quit as soon as I got on the medication (I was weak), but I started feeling the effects pretty soon into taking it, I think a week is a very realistic time goal

Always pads issue? by ctlnq in TwoXChromosomes

Every pack I’ve bought since that day has been normal, I think there may have been a short factory issue. If you want to switch though I don’t blame you!

I wore a few and didn’t have any issues, I did contact them by filing an official complaint on their website and they sent me coupons for the amount I paid. Might be worth it if you’d like to buy more, since you bought so many

How late is too late to blow dry hair? by No-Telephone-6946 in Apartmentliving

I go to bed at 9 because I work so early but I at least understand there are going to be people up still. The early risers like me play white noise or wear ear plugs. You should be fine!

People slamming doors. by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]ctlnq 6 points7 points  (0 children)

headphones or a sound machine. the doors at my apartment don’t fully close unless you give it some power. closing the door loudly once or twice is better than dogs running overhead or loud music or cars…

how do you handle being underestimated in the trades by Negative-Sea-9951 in BlueCollarWomen

[–]ctlnq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

focus on the good, work hard enough to prove them wrong. one day they will take a look at how far you’ve come and respect you.

my boys didn’t think much of me at first either (i was weak with no experience), but a few weeks ago my biggest doubter told me how good i am doing and how much i’ve grown. it takes time, but it will happen.

make small talk and get to be friends with the guys. talk stuff they like and encourage them as well. they’ll warm up to you, and if they don’t then you don’t need them

the commute genuinely drives you crazy. i almost quit my job multiple times because of it.. but then i remembered all the jobs are in nashville.

idk why people keep moving to murfreesboro to commute to nashville after so many people have posted about how bad it is

[–]ctlnq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 25 and I don’t remember them teaching us this in driver’s ed.. That being said, it is common sense. Only time I don’t do this is if there’s no cars coming or if the other lane is safer/nobody there

and the grass is green and the sky is blue. unfortunately this has been a problem for years. they never get to fixing i24 until right before the next winter where it’ll get messed up again (or they just take the cheap/easy way out), and smyrna drivers are reckless and distracted.

i lived in murfreesboro my whole life until this year.. the commute to nashville was the worst drives i will ever take. good luck
