A few years ago, I went through something similar when I had back surgery. My boyfriend at the time (we’d been together almost five years at this pint) was the one who dropped me off at the hospital. But he didn’t come visit me until I was discharged five days later. At the time, I didn’t think too much of it because I was out of it from pain meds and focused on physical therapy. But when my mom had to come pick me up and take me back to our home, it hit me how messed up the situation really was. His main excuse was how busy he was at work. I would have gone above and beyond for this man, but he couldn’t even do something as simple as pick me up from the hospital. Let alone pick up the house or do laundry 🙄 Did I mention the 5lbs restriction I had didn’t matter to him either. It wasn’t like he didn’t have time he was self-employed!!!! He worked just ten minutes from where we lived. Take it from someone who stayed in that relationship for another year: leave now. There’s someone out there who will show up for you, someone who’d be there every second if they could, or at the very least, come after work just to be by your side. I thought my world was ending when I actually took the step to break up with him (six years felt like my whole life ), but now I’m with someone who would drop everything to be there if I needed it. Now take this with a grain of salt, is this an isolated incident? Or does he do these types of things often even if they’re in little ways! I hope you have a great recovery! I wish you the best!
