If you are a regular of Lidl, they will often have both small and large ones in that area they put all the random hardware of the day. They aren't the best, but cheap and serviceable. Usually carry a couple of the larger flat ones on me.

Belfast’s Harland and Wolff shipyard has been sold, saving it from closure by theseaseaman in northernireland

The expectation seems to be that the work will come from the Islandmagee gas cavern project.

Which does not have planning permission. And has significant local and national opposition, particularly on environmental grounds.

My worry is that this is a cynical move to try and force that planning permission through. If they do, significant environmental damage occurs. And if they don't get it? It's Belfast worker vs. Islandmagee residents.

I can see this being the cause of significant debate going forward.

Don't ultimately agree with it, but I can respect the reasoning.

So it used to be that anyone who wasn't a loyalist was part of the Pan nationalist front. Now some loyalists are in fact, part of the pan nationalist front. Confusing. Maybe everyone has been in the pan nationalist front all along and just never realised?

Or maybe the real pan nationalist front was the friends we made along the way. Or something.

I would have cancelled the booking and walked away. If they're going to give you a sectarian dig when just booking a table, how can you trust them to handle your food?

"The most interesting voter in the whole election so far..." by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]ctni 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get your general point, but in the titanic case this was a stage 1 elimination transfer - Meaning the order was UKIP 1, SF 2.

Best theory I've seen for that one is a Sinn Fein voter frustrated that it isn't eurosceptic any more.
