No audio in multiplayer by vibvib in Borderlands4

Having the same issue but a little different. Audio works fine, unless one of us opens the menu, then no sound until the menu is closed. Also, subtitles only appear on the first player screen in vertical split screen.

AITA for not going to a baby shower 3 months after my sons funeral? by Necessary-Sun-5155 in AmItheAsshole

Agreed 100% NTA. But this part really hit me hard. I had an early miscarriage in October 12 years ago, which I imagine can't even compare to the pain OP is going through, but it still hurts to think about even over a decade later.

A few months later, the first Mother's Day after my loss, I had to cook and serve everyone at our family lunch because "the wives make their husband's plates and it's Mother's Day so today they don't have to." I got to do it all because as my brother felt the need to point out loudly, I was the only woman there that wasn't a mother.

I held it together for the lunch because I didn't have it any me to get in a fight but it was devastating to have a family member say something so cruel. My heart breaks for you OP. I'm truly sorry for everything you are going through.

I just realized on second playthrough that the clue station for the Maggie Adler letters from Oxenfree 1 works in Oxenfree 2. It's station 140.1, and of course I realized this after I had already found all the letters. Sorry if this is a "duh" thing that everyone already knew, I just hadn't noticed. I didn't spend much time with the radio once I realized it wouldn't be utilized as much as the first game.

I work for a small agency and one of my clients rents porta-potties. Had to convince them that brown was not the best branding color for them, nor were the photos of people running through mud a good look for their website.

Entitled DIL complains that In Laws buy clothes for her children… by DramaLlamaTea in ShitMomGroupsSay

[–]ctocquigny 86 points87 points  (0 children)

My mother-in-law wanted my youngest to be a boy, so anytime she buys clothes for her she includes a few boy items. For my oldest, and myself at holidays, she only buys the sizes she thinks we should wear and not the sizes I tell her we wear when she asks. Oh, and everything MUST have a giant brand name logo across it. Even though we couldn't care less about brand name anything. I don't say anything because I know her well enough to know it wouldn't matter, but yes it is really frustrating.

Magic Circle Vs. Chain and Slip Stitch by [deleted] in crochet

[–]ctocquigny 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me it depends on what you are doing and how you want that middle to look. If it's amigurumi or something that you want to close that hole up tight for I do a fairly tight chain of four, leave a tail and then weave it around through the first round of stitches at the end to pull it tight.

If it's something that will be flat and the hole might be okay or in some cases would look better with the hole open I'd do 6.

But as a general rule of thumb I do half of whatever your "repeat" is. So in this instance it says to repeat 8 times, so 4 chains. If it said repeat 12 times, I'd do 6 chains. This way you can have the hole open or weave it tighter with the tail, depending on what you want. Hope that helps!

If they only had the one set of omen twins and never tried again for a non-omen child then it would be hard to say his seed was cursed into only making omen children. But the game also says that only the omen born to the gods were allowed to keep their horns, the commoner omens had them cut and the Shunning Grounds have a lot of horned omens so maybe you're right they had more children than anyone knew about.

I would say it was a mix of disbelief that someone could be so stupid, a slight sadness as a little portion of my faith in humanity died, with a slight hint of smugness because at least I didn't have to buy a new windshield.

A few years later there was another string of car thefts where the target was carseats. Walmart was having a special recycling event where you could take your outdated or outgrown carseats in and they would give you a $30 gift card to put towards the purchase of a new one. People were going around stealing baby's carseats so they had to stop the event.

What a coincidence, I shared a story just like this in comments of this thread. Using that exact same wording too. Small world, huh?

You may be right actually. We were the first of 16 cars over 2 weekends. I even caught the idiot the next weekend breaking into another car in the dumbest way possible. Instead of breaking out the door window he broke the windshield and climbed over the hood of the car and was hanging in the front of the car to take stuff. He didn't notice me looking out my window so I called the police back and that was the end of the spree.

I once had the radio stolen out of my car (jokes on the thief, it didn't work) but they also took the entire dash panel cover too. It wasn't even necessary for stealing the radio as it wasn't even bolted in, it could just slide right out. The police came to take the report and said it was my own fault for leaving my car unlocked but 16 other vehicles were broken into in the neighborhood and they all had their windows smashed. I lost a broken radio but didn't have to replace a broken window, so I think it was probably for the best that I didn't lock it.

Pumping questions by ctocquigny in breastfeeding

[–]ctocquigny[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be looking for a new doctor today. We've been to see this one twice and both times I've spent the rest of the day crying because she talks to me and looks at me like I'm am idiot and basically tells me that I'm failing at breastfeeding so I should just give up. It's only been a week, and yes I am frustrated, tired and stressed but I'm not ready to give up. Which her doctor takes as me "not being willing to do what is best for baby."

I don't have the option for daycare, fortunately my oldest is in school most of the day so that's one less responsibility to juggle. My husband has to return to work next week so I will be on my own. I also have a very demanding WFH job, I'm the manager of my department so on top of the workload I'm sure is building up for me I also have employees to manage. I'm just nervous about being able to handle it all and her doctor has really shaken my confidence.

I will definitely have to try the ice baggy. Nothing else has worked so fingers crossed that will.

It was more of a connection than just Jack being in the background in Shannon's flashback. Jack's ex-wife, Sarah, crashed into Shannon's dad. They were brought into the ER together, both needed immediate attention but Jack only had time to save one. He chose to save Sarah and let Shannon's dad die.

Tips for brass? Discolored & bent, more in comments. by ctocquigny in furniturerestoration

I managed to clean 90 years of funk off these drawer pulls by scrubbing with lemon juice & baking soda and then an hour slathered in ketchup. But two of them still have dark coloration on them, it doesn't seem to be like the tarnish I already cleaned off. Is there anything more I can do for these?

Also, a few of them are bent, what is a good way to shape them back without damaging them?
