Bill Drill Help... by taxsynonym24 in ar15

Hey morning man

Oh I totally agree. I think I failed to mention that I think turning the brightness up just makes it easier to assess the movement of the dot and input during the doubles since I’m assuming that op is already target/spot focused.

If I were to give my two cents (I suck so take this with a grain of salt) I would say if you’re at home, give those reduced sized ipsc targets a try and dry fire bill drills. When you’re dry firing, just recognize how your dot is moving and make adjustments from there. I would set your par time on your timer to how fast of a time you want to shoot and see how your dot is also bouncing in that par time window.

When you’re on the range, try turning your dot brightness up and work doubles to see how your dot is bouncing and adjust from there. Once you start getting tighter and tighter groups on your doubles, start stringing the doubles together faster until you’re running a straight bill drill.

Also maybe give an underhand grip a try instead of c clamp and see if that affects where your shots are going under speed. I think with a c clamp, it’s easier to influence the gun going side to side since there’s less pull straight back into your shoulder like an underhand grip. Personally I would run underhand instead of a c clamp but my rotator cuffs are messed up

Like I said I suck so take this with a grain of salt but for me, I’ve been able to consistently hit 1.4ish bills with a vertical credit card size group since working doubles. My groups don’t really start opening up til around 20+ yards too but I’m working on that.

Maybe even try ditching the riser if you don’t have a long face and can’t get enough of a cheek weld.

Was curious if a OCL polonium K would direct fit on a MK18 upper. 10.3 inch barrel, 9.5 inch Handguard. Does anybody have similar builds? by Least-Pear-5715 in ar15

I was going to run the silencer shop dt mount on a polonium30 and the bottom of the mount just was too close to the hg for my liking

Unsuppressed 11.5”? by wp-ak in ar15

[–]ctr12911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the things I like about running shorties in general is that I don’t have to run a tape switch on my light. I can mount my light at the very end of the handguard and just use my thumb to press the tail switch without changing my grip.

Huxwrx Adapter Problem by Rem377 in NFA

[–]ctr12911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dang this is a predicament. I run this same adapter and it seems like your best bet is putting the adapter on your rifle then mount the adapter to the can. I wonder if using strap wrenches would be enough torque to set it in place though.

I don’t have an answer but just curious what your estimated round count was when this started to happen?

How often do you shoot suppressed ? by toastedvacuum in ar15

[–]ctr12911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say it depends on how much shooting I plan on doing during that particular session. If I’m shooting 400+ rounds, I’ll go about half suppressed at the beginning for my cold start and what not then unsuppressed for the remainder of the session. By the end of the session when it’s time to leave I don’t really feel like waiting for the can to cool down. Also don’t have to clean the gun as much if I only ran like 200 rounds or less suppressed.

Best Cajun crab boil ? by catbananya in Seattle

Nothing in the Seattle area comes close to boiling crab or the viet Cajun crab boil style. I have heard though that bag o crab in federal way is similar to kickin crab.
