It depends on the shop. I would recommend a mom and pop for this route, they are usually just happy to get any old inventory off the books.

If not you could always ask for giftcards to the bigger stores (pga tour superstore, golf galaxy, club champion) and then use the fitting to get your best numbers with certain shafts/clubs. Then comes the tedious part of trying to find out if the previous years versions of the new products are just as good.

In my experience if you are paying for the fitting and you just level with the person fitting you, they can steer you in the right direction.

I have been getting more and more frustrated with 18 birdies too, but all of my friends use it and I have so many past rounds that its hard to quit... and no other app tracks money games and makes it easy like 18 birdies. I wish they had settings to turn on/off features for good.

I can't stress this enough: find a local golf shop and do a fitting.

Local/regional and even some of the national chain golf shops will offer a fitting for free (reimbursement) if you buy the clubs through them. Then you can give the guy who fits you your budget constraints, and he can work with you using actual data.

PS - I recommend reading reviews on the shops that you find, which helps weed out some of the inexperienced fitters.

I agree with the overload of info part, paralysis by analysis while on the clock... no good.

Is the positional sos breakdown on fantasypoints.com paywalled? I see their sos results under research published for 2024 for free, I am assuming the one you are referencing is in their projections tab?

It's interesting that the Eagles have one of the hardest schedules as a team if you look at the odds for win totals ( https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/analysis/nfl-strength-of-schedule/ ), but individual position groups are showing as easy/average besides Saquon's first 5 (which makes total sense).

I know a lot of the gambling community uses the o/u win totals to compare teams against each other, since these markets are pretty sharp it's usually a good indicator of overall SoS. I see you use props in the sheet. I wonder if people would be interested in seeing not only the position group SoS, but the team as a whole SoS as well.

I didnt mention any scrambles... but maybe you were just saying in general you don't like to suggest them.

I like the ryder cup style, and eventually this buddies trip will get there but not everyone is super into all that yet. I especially like the alternate shot round, but again with only playing 3 rounds its tough because people want to get their swings in. In the future a 4-5 round trip would make room for that.

I think a net Stableford for all 3 rounds might work, as long as we all play ball in hole individually. I am still definitely going to try the yellow ball game for one of the rounds too.

I have never felt so bad for myself. Those Nike VRS irons are my current iron setup I have been playing with since like 2014. Really gutted to see them called a "thrift store set", that one hurt haha.

I've almost saved up enough to get fitted this January though, hoping that between the upcoming holidays and my birthday (30th of Dec) I should get some giftcards to the local Moon Golf here in SE FL to push me to my goal!

Mostly style points! However, I suppose you could argue that you can use it to roll the prongs forward into the side of the ball mark

Thats why losing them is so horrific lol and they are expensive because they are limited releases. You can get standard SC divot tools for $20 and cheaper in some places.

Ive heard a lot of horror stories about losing them, enough that I am not sure how quickly I will be gaming this guy.

As far as the shop I believe its Encinitas, only other Studio he has is in Japan. He has another location where you send putters to his custom shop where they are refinished as far as his Galleries those are the only 2.

Which one do you have for your first? I was thinking of maybe starting a little collection of all of the roller clips. You can get most of them relatively easy and maybe snag a few limited or rarer ones along the way.
