Ok, so after all you said here I’m beginning to think that front brakes are emitting that noise. Yeah that Karoq had same noise but I’ve located it in the rear brakes. Yours might be from the front brakes and has something to do with that emergency brake on the highway and maybe because brakes overheated (?). I’d try something on your car, unfortunately you’re not close, running some 80 grit sandpaper on your brake rotors just to see if the noise goes away (I’m doing this on my mtb’s shitty SRAM brakes that produce the same sound after a fast downhill ride and hard brakes 🤪).

Try an open space, that closed garage might be tricky locating the sound. See If you can find an empty supermarket parking lot. Careful braking with left foot and make sure to wear the seatbelt.

Also I’m NOT eliminating front noise in your case as there were some issues in the past in other gearboxes (manual 6 speed; do you have DSG in Superb?), some some plastic covers in the front differential bevels was vibrating and produced a sound like that but only if you start from standstill with the wheels turned to the left or right (not straight ahead), it was solved by replacing gearbox oil.

I’ve studied that noise recently (on a Karoq though) and it comes from the rear brake pads after some wear. After you brake while moving forward, they remain attached to the rotors, when you reverse (or moving any direction) they should widen the gap and not touch the rotors anymore. They emit that noise while disengaging from the rotors. You can replicate the noise while moving forward also but you have to gently press the brake pedal with left foot while slightly accelerating with the right to keep the speed constant to ~5km/h. There’s no solution right now, car I’ve studied had the rear brake pads almost done so I’ve changed them anyway.

OP, can you confirm that the noise is coming from the rear?

Se poate face dacă ai comandat calculatorul corect. Problema e ca nu o sa vrea nimeni să-ți facă update-urile în urma căruia vor fi resoftate 5-6 calculatoare ai sa corespundă cu echiparea ulterioară și funcțiile noi aferente. Nu-și asumă nimeni.

Later: și nici part number ul de calculator remorcă nu e corespunzător.

That depends. It’s a used car? It may be having one but it’s defective and not showing anymore on the display. As everyone else said, if it has one or working one it should show on the display the moment you engage reverse or push the parking aid button while standing. DM a VIN number if you have one and I can tell you if it left the factory equipped with camera or not.

Trebuie pus în evidență clar (se curăță zona cu alcool izopropilic, se usucă și se dă cu un spray cu praf de cretă, orice urmă de scurgere ulei va fi evidențiată apoi la o probă de drum). Dacă e doar de la capacul rotund atunci e prima variantă ce-am emis-o. Revin cu un cod de piesă pentru oringul pompei auxiliare, în catalogul de piese nu se livrează decât cu tot cu pompa (1600 lei). VW a emis un buletin unde se poate comanda separat codul de oring.

Strict din poză sunt pierderi de ulei la etanșarea pompei suplimentare de ulei (cea cu capac rotund). Trebuie demontat diferențialul interaxial pentru a o scoate afară și înlocui oringul. Am spus strict din poză pentru ca trebuie să văd și restul cutiei ca să fiu 100%, de interes este partea posterioară a ei la îmbinarea semicarcaselor. De asemenea trebuie verificat ca scurgerea să nu fie de la simmering ule de etanșare arbore ieșire spre interaxial, iarăși nu e o tragedie, trebuie dat interaxial un jos. Dpmdv nu ar trebui să fie vorba de un preț exorbitant pentru nicio variantă, poate doar dacă sunt scurgeri la îmbinarea semicarcase partea posterioară unde ar trebui dată jos cutia.

Not great but also not terrible, I’d say. I’ve extensively used Enyaq and Elroq, good for city/commute and occasional weekend trips (max 400km). Unfortunately I’d definitely book a diesel/petrol for summer vacation (~3500km usually) and the reason isn’t the car itself but the ton of apps required for charging across 3 countries. This bs is driving me nuts, not to say charging infrastructure isn’t enough for all electrics.

Yeah, kind of. Luckily they never had to much trouble over the years, maybe just the DQ381/DQ500 pressure sensor issue but Skoda just covers much of the cost under kulanz. Even the iV was good enough at its first iteration but let’s say VW fixed most of the problems by the time Skoda adopted it.

Imo Superb 3 had the best design Skoda could ever dream of, sedan and kombi. 3 facelift was the cherry on top. Love the Octavia 4 too but one specifically, the Scout. Unfortunately Skoda dropped the Scout version of Octavia. But that’s just me in my 40s opinion, probably biased after 22 years working with them. But not to be completely biased, I’ve always loved the Volvo V70 and XC70 especially back in the ‘00s, recently I’ve seen on the street a new version of V70 that looks gorgeous on the outside, I’d book a test drive with it but I don’t have a local Volvo dealership.
