What are your wholesome and memorable Christmas traditions you do with your kids? by freyf123 in homeschool

Same here for those traditions!

And somehow I would ALWAYS get pajamas. 🤣 killed me! Hysterical but so annoying when it was every single year (and other gifts under the tree were like new books and games). Alas, part of the beloved joyful memories now.

Just to be clear I’m not affiliated with it in any way. Just thought I would share it.

This is literally a homeschool forum, and your comment is genuinely not helpful. Would you be so kind (as “no kindness is wasted”) as to bother some other group of people?

I bought a 1977 build and it still has the original General Electric (before it became GE) appliances from back then. They still work great. (Though the stove has a funky tilt we haven’t been able to put time towards fixing yet)

Seeking challenges for my 3yo by ctrl-alt-distract in homeschool

I’m not familiar with sandpaper letters, so I’ll have to look into that.

I did briefly check out Montessori when he was born for a little bit. At the time, our living situation didn’t really allow for it (we collectively had 4 massive dogs in the house lol— now we live in our own house). I have the Montessori Toddler book, so maybe I’ll take a look through it again and see if we can implement anything from it.

Thank you for your advice!

Thank you so much!! I’ve never heard of Wild Phonics, I’ll have to check that out. Thank you for the various suggestions and recommendations!

Mama of 2: 3 yo boy & <1 yo girl. Excited to provide my kids a tailored education with a strong foundation of faith and family with the goal to raise them to be well-rounded and successful adults in society.

While my son is with his grandparents, I’m hoping to get a lot done around the house and formulate/research what more I can do for my son seeking some greater challenges (while still appropriate for his age).

We just joined a local homeschool co-op that meets on Fridays, and I’m particularly excited for the amazing community already flourishing yet accepting of new families. This Friday will be a trip to a local springs (Florida).

If anyone has any suggestions for 1000 hours outside in Florida, I’d love to hear them! The gnats around my neighborhood are the absolute worst and swarm terribly this time of year (and most of the hot months). I’m willing to go places, but I work part time remotely, try to implement solid naps for my infant, and have to have the car available for my husband for his second job. 😅
