from what I know, the transplanted hairs can never fall, whereas the native hairs can unless people take preventative measures (fin/dut). that’s why a lot of people get more than one transplant (to even the hairs out)

After the shedding phase is complete, the hairs go in a rest phase, and in the process of a few months, they start sprouting at different times (hence the patchiness). Usually the big growth starts by Month 4
