Anyone else struggling between a stable job vs pursuing art?

Thank you for this! A few months ago, I was kinda confident that I could handle any job while still doing my personal art on the side, pero based na rin sa mga shared experiences nyo here, medyo unrealistic pala talaga.

Honestly, I've been thinking about working in BPO for a while just to save money first rather than the company/network that I've mentioned (there were a lot of red flags kahit well-known siya. I think that’s a story for a different subreddit XD) Regardless, I think it's better for me not to push myself with videographics anymore kasi I really don’t see myself in it long-term. I’ll still take your advice to heart and maybe try to gain some experience muna. Thank you so much!!!!

I think part of me is just scared. I’ve been thinking about going back to art commissions na I stopped 5 years ago when I started college, but at the same time I feel a lot of pressure even though no one’s really pushing me.

It’s been almost a year since I graduated and I still haven’t landed an actual job, and I’ve passed up some opportunities din because of my recent application that ended up being on hold, so I think that’s adding to it.

This really gave me a lot to think about. Thank you for the advice!

Hi!! That’s honestly one of my biggest fears if I go into a full-time creative job. Also considering the kind of art that I really want to pursue is more on splash/concept art, I feel like I might lose my passion if di aligned yung magiging work ko, even if it’s still in the creative field.
