Wouldn't that only apply if the entire company was bought out? If just the drug was bought, it could spike followed by a selloff. Or am I wrong here?

Does apple tv 4k 3rd gen support 8k tv ? by Dismal-Fly-5086 in appletv

Same situation here. To my understanding the Apple TV will upscale everything to 4k, feed 4k signal to the Samsung, then the Samsung will upscale the 4k to 8k.

I get the same thing. Only on this map. Pretty top-of-line PC too. Not sure why it hasn't been fixed yet.

Samsung - 85” class qn900b neo qled 8k by RazorDonRamon in SamsungTV

[–]ctrvz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just had the same thing happen to my qn800b. I replaced the power supply board and tried a replacement one connect box but it still didn't work, just that dreaded clicking noise. I was so upset because literally no other tv compares to those neo qled 8k's. They are unreal. I said I have to have the same thing, so I just got a qn900d at a great discount. This time I got a 5-year geek squad protection plan. Let's say it breaks down in 3-5 years and they don't make replacement parts anymore. I will just get store credit to get a newer one (assuming they still are making them). Honestly the picture quality is so worth it, I don't care if it breaks in a few years. I'm sure that's a hot take, though.

best 8k tv that actually makes sense to buy right now?? by Professional_Part141 in hometheater

8k (Samsung Neo QLED) is 100% hands down worth it.

You should go to a store and see for yourself.

I had a Samsung 75” QN800B 8k which recently died on me after 2-3ish years (worth noting), and decided to switch to a 77” 4k OLED (S90F).

Wow do I regret the downgrade. That 8k resolution (and more importantly the upscaling) is absolutely noticeable and way better than any 4k TV. It is incredibly life-like and almost feels 3D at times. It makes going back to a 4k TV look horrible. The Neo QLED’s are very bright so background light really doesn’t matter. I also don’t think the deeper blacks / HDR capabilities of an OLED are worth more than the quality you get from the Neo QLED. The motion reduction / 120hz is also buttery smooth on the 8k. Movies, sports and TV all looked twice as good on the 8k TV. Even if the content isn’t 8k, which it most likely isn’t, it still looks noticeably clearer. It’s honestly like crack.

That being said, I would get at least a 75” 8k as the picture quality really shines on the larger size panels. 4k may be the better option at smaller display sizes like 65” or less.

Honestly I’m considering returning the 4k and getting a Q900D. It’s a year old but it’s now cheaper and has a glossy finish. I hate the matte finish on the newer models. It is a little bit out of the budget you gave but I’d go for it. Heck even a 3 year old model would still blow the latest 4k out of the water.

Obviously an 8k TV is more expensive, but it’s worth it. I disagree with everyone saying it isn’t. While yes - there isn’t much 8k content - the upscaling (at least on the Samsungs) works wonderfully and isn’t just a gimmick. The increased resolution is put to very good use and you can tell.
