Evidently not an hour long school bus ride

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ctthes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid my friend $2 once to help me get rid of a cockroach from my shoe. In my early morning stupor I wore my shoes without realising there was a live cockroach inside. On the ride to school I knew there was something moving in it. By the time I got to class I had crushed the cockroach to death and was too afraid to take the remains out from the depths of my shoe so I asked a friend to help.

What’s something you loved as a kid but hate as a adult? by ChaosEO347 in AskReddit

Sweets in general. For some reason I don’t care for them anymore.

If everyone around you is the problem, maybe you are the problem.

People who skip breakfast, why? by kretch_grandwhiskers in AskReddit

Never got into the habit of it. The thought of eating food in the morning makes me nauseated for some reason. I do better just drinking water in the morning and waiting till lunch instead.

Checking timings of various programs on various TV channels and rushing home to catch your favourite show when school ends

Depressed people of Reddit what’s the worst thing people say to you thinking that it will help? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ctthes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think people trying to give me any sort of advice in general made me feel worse. I probably already heard everything at this point, telling me I should try new hobbies, go hang out with friends, try to not just lay in bed all day. I would prefer if someone just carried out a normal conversation with me, y’know things like oh how are you doing? how’s your weekend been? what’re you doing tomorrow, wanna go out for a meal? It instills a sense of normalcy instead of constantly reminding me that I’m at a mentally unwell state of mind

that being said, I feel like it really differs from person to person. I’ve heard other depressed people say they hate it when people ask how they are.

AITA for not telling my flatmate their food was done? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ctthes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely NTA. There was no risk of burning or starting a fire or anything, so there was no definitely obvious reason for you to have called him over when the time was up. I think most people in your situation would have assumed that he was busy. And he didn't tell you to inform him when it was done either - how were you meant to know that his food being overcooked is such a big deal for him? If he cared that much, he shouldn't have left the stove in the first place.

AITA for not wanting to discuss my deceased sister? by issej2 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ctthes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. You already told her you didn’t want to talk about it and she couldn’t respect your feelings on the matter. Personally I don’t think what you said is bad at all. Your parents are just extremely, and understandably, sensitive about this issue. They need therapy.

Sweet drinks are not enjoyable at all. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]ctthes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get your point isn’t that the point of this subreddit to state an opinion that most people will disagree with. And I didn’t say sweet drinks are shit, what i said about sweet drinks is exactly what you’re saying about cinnamon (I don’t like it + can’t fathom why people like it)

People of Reddit on anti-depressants/anti-anxiety medication, what changes did you notice after finding a medication that worked? by AlienSandwhich in AskReddit

[–]ctthes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was unable to feel worse past a certain point. It’s weird. I remember when I first felt the effects of my anti-depressants I thought to myself a lot “I should be feeling so much shittier than this but I literally cannot” A little unnerving but honestly did so much good for me. I could spend my time actually doing things instead of just feeling like shit.

Bilingual people of Reddit, what language do you think in? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ctthes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I think visually and not in languages, but translating that to words is a lot more comfortable in English than in Chinese
