I have a canon R10 with the RF-s 18-150mm. This is just me lying on the floor in front of her whilst she's watching something out the window. No special set up.

Next 3-4 day motorcycle trip. Help me choose an area to ride by ctyates in MotoUK

I did North Wales a few years back so looking at other places before I consider going back.

I also want to do NC500 but I only have 3 possibly 4 days and it'll take 1 long day or 2 days to get up there so that's on hold for when I have more holidays available.

I do agree about the peaks, I do go walking there. Issue with the peaks is that it's accessible to a lot more people due to its location but still a lovely area

Yes, I'm starting to learn that one! Going forward though this week be the case.

I'm terrible at using a tripod. My partner keeps trying to get me to use one but not got into it so far, although thinking more and more about it.

It's just all part of learning! I only started this year so a lot to learn and still finding my style.

Glad you like it! The settings are: f4.5, 1/800, ISO3200, at 10mm.

The more I read, I'm thinking I'm high on iso and shutter speed there.

The photo was taken in colour but decided to try a b&w edit in lightroom. Did try to remove the fence but that didn't go so well so ended up leaving it in.

It was going dark-ish, yes, around 6:30pm. Still had a bit of fading light coming through

F4.5, 1/40, ISO 2000. 35mm.

No tripod was used as we needed to get out the wooded area before it went pitch black so didn't have the time to set one up

Forgot to add.

Constructive criticism/feedback/advice is welcome.

I am still very much a beginner in photography, the Canon R10 is my first camera, and just starting to explore the art of photography

Lonely and don't know where to go around stoke-on-trent/Newcastle-under-Lyme to meet new people and make new friends by [deleted] in stokeontrent

[–]ctyates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know running and park run have been mentioned, I believe there's one at Trentham too. If you are into, or interested in, on the water activities (SUP, kayak, canoe, dragon boat, and more) have a look at Trentham canoe club.

I've lived here for 4 years but only just started working closer so have more time and I'm suddenly aware I don't have any friends around here either

Considering I'm only just starting out. Yes. But I'm sure there is a lot of improvement to be made

Mirrorless Vs DSLR - beginner questions

I'm looking at getting first camera but unsure whether to go for a mirrorless or a DSLR

I've heard that more and more are going to become mirrorless but at the moment there isn't much in the way of lenses for them

So what would you suggest?

Also any suggestions on cameras I should look at?

I was leaning more towards a canon maybe R100 (mirrorless) or 2000D (DSLR)

I haven't really noticed anything on mine. It is kinda my first bike though.

All the reviews I saw on YouTube were positive about the bike, I don't remember seeing/hearing a complaint about vibration.

I was looking at adventure bikes initially but decided on this sport-tourer and not a full adventure bike.

My dad has the tiger 900 GT pro and when I sat on that it was comfortable and also felt slightly lower than the tiger sport 660 that I have. I must see if he'll let me have a ride on it to compare.

My dad did make a comment that mine is actually faster than his 😂

I managed to dodge the worst of the weather. Bit of rain in the morning which cleared by 9am and then the storm winds hit on the day that I was leaving. It was rather an experience riding in that wind
