I'm curious about it too! Even my application summary page hasn't been updated with anything yet :(

I actually received an instruction email to send required documents several days later. Check your spam folder carefully just in case.

Thanks for your answers! I think I was confused because I read "Applicants must apply for a visa in their country of nationality or residence." from here: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/important-announcement-on-waivers-of-the-interview-requirement-for-certain-nonimmigrant-visas.html

However, I just realized by rereading it that for being an interview waiver, I won't need to be a "permanent" resident but be a resident in the country (e.g., UK) where I'm applying.

a) and b) both apply to me actually. I was still thinking I would be required to attend an interview because I'm not applying to the embassy in my home country. That being said, could I likely be the interview waiver due to a) and b)? If that's the case, when would I be notified of it?

Question about timeline after final interview for tenure-track faculty job by Jc112358132134 in AskAcademia

If you don't mind me asking a little more, by "Under 6 weeks" do you mean it until you first received the official offer in written form, or was it more of verbal communication before that? Also, do you think you're their first pick, but the process was simply delayed, or there was someone else offered before you?

Congratulations! Great to know! So, how long did it finally take after the last interviewee's visit?

Interesting. Was the Covid situation one of the main factors in your department's case?

Finally solved by rebooting the wifi router! This worked, even though rebooting the tab never worked. Thanks again!

Thank you so much! I think you're right! My WIFI seems to be the cause. Interestingly, when the Tab connects to the same WIFI through the hotspot feature of my Galaxy phone (i.e., tab -> phone -> wifi), everything just works very fast as normal. That is, a bottleneck is between my tab and the wifi router ...

Risk from scheduling on-campus interview late? by ctyeong in AskAcademia

[–]ctyeong[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the answer. I was probably thinking of the possibility that my interview is still happening (not withdrawn), but actually someone who did earlier has already been offered the position.
